I woke up in my mom's room in her chair. I see her sleeping, I hope me being on Needman's team is worth it, so I can make her proud by going to the St. Agnes school. But, also I feel bad at the same time for betraying the team by quitting during the championship. I hope once this is over, I hope everyone forgives me, including Sydney. I sat up and opened my eyes, saw mom waking up.

"Hey Tommy, what's wrong?" mom asked. "I wish I could just stay here and take care of you." I said. "I know, but you can't just quit on the team that you're committed to." She said. "Also, quitting and not being there doesn't solve your problems for quitting Sydney's team." "I know, but I just want to be here for you and make your proud." I said. "No matter what, I will always be happy with the choice you make, Tommy. Remember this, good things happen to good people." She said.

I nodded in agreement. "I love you mom, I promise I will come back after the game." I said. I gave her a quick peck on the cheek and ran out the door for the game.

(Sydney's P.O.V)

I'm at the Sandlot in the shade talking about our plans and out possibilities. "C'mon guys, we should at least try to win and work hard." I pleaded. "It's not worth it, Sydney White." said Two-Ton, "Let's just let your boyfriend's team wins." "Like I said before, we should at least try." I said. "Just because Tommy's not on our team doesn't mean we should at least try."

We all ran to the field to do the national anthem. I saw EJ smiling at me.

"Good luck, Sidee." He said, smiling. "Good luck to you too." I smiled. We both shook hands and he gave me a hug. I heard the audience saying "Aww" and "that's so sweet" Then I turned around to go back, and EJ gave me a spank on the butt and a peck on the cheek. I just smiled and blushed at him. He winked at me, and gave me a wave and I waved back. I walked over, and saw the guys' reaction.

"What?" I said. "Ewww!! A smack from Needman." disgusted Wings. I just rolled my eyes in annoyance. "I can't believe he actually quit on us." said Timber. "I always knew he was a traitor." said Wings. "We are so dead." said Roll. I saw Ryan came out of the shade to say something for once. "Guys, I have something to say." He said. "What!?!?" we all said. "Did Ryan just speak?" said Wok and Roll. "Guys, I've been here with you for a long time. You guys love Baseball, you eat and sleep Baseball. But, nothing compares to playing it." he said.

"But I ju-." said Two-Ton. "Zip it Tubby!! It's my turn to talk." said Ryan. We all just stood there in awe. "Besides, if we give up now, the Sandlot will be gone and don't even know it." he said. "The mouth on that kid." surprised Two-Ton. We all nodded in agreement. "What he said." appeared Benny. We all put our hands in and cheered. "1, 2, 3 Sandlot!!!" we called out. Then, I saw out in the field Tommy having an argument with Mr. Needman. Hmmm, I wonder why? I thought to myself.

(Tommy's P.O.V)

I'm over here having an argument with Mr. Needman, and I made my decision. I want to quit Needman's team and go back to The Sandlot. I know it's crazy, but I miss those guys and practice was always fun about it. "Mr. Needman." I said, and I tapped his shoulder. He ignored me.

"Get back to position son, now!!" he shouted at me. "But, I need to talk to you." I said. Then, he yelled at me again. I just walked away to The Sandlot. "Son, what are you doing?" he asked. Then, I ignored him and threw my cap off my head and it landed on the ground. I heard a crowd of "awe" and "OOOhH" as I walked off.

"What is he doing?" I asked. "I don't know, Sydney." said Wings. I saw Tommy coming over to talk to us. "What are you doing here?" I asked, sternly. "I wanna win." He said. "Yeah so do we." said Wings. "Get lost, Tommy." said Wok. "Yeah, we got moves. We don't need you." said Roll. "Guys, I just came here to apologize." He said. We all looked at him in concern and folded our arms together.
