We all arrive at The Sandlot, having our practice as usual for them. But the 1st practice for me, since I got in. I saw Tommy looking at Benny weird. I think something about Benny being young or somewhat like that. Anyway, we all got on our positions to play.

I am sitting down next to a guy with glasses. He looks up and smiles at me. "Hi, are you new here?" he asked. "Yeah, I'm just watching." I replied. "I'm Squints Palledorous." He replied. "Baseball Commissioner, right?" I said. "That's right." He replied. "Wings." I said, after I saw him move quickly. "You know, Wings McKay." He replied. "Yeah, nobody with that much of speed, it's going to catch up with him." I replied.

"I don't think nobody could catch up with him." He said. "Except for the cops." I muttered, under my breath. "That's Q, short for I.Q." he said. "Wicked smart, but everything cuts down to his size." "But, all of that pays off because he became one of the best brain sur-g." I said, "I mean biggest brains in the world." "Are you alright kid? What do you know about Wok and Roll?" he asked. "It's a little bit old school, I've been kind of getting into hip-hop, rap, and more." I replied.

"No, I mean I'm talking about Matt "Wok" Wokamoto and Rolando "Roll" Alvarez." He said. "Wok and Roll, how can I forget those guys." I said. "Forget them, what do you mean?" he said. "I mean together they play great, but separate they play awful. You know?" I said. "How you know them? How come I don't know you?" Squints said.

"What about Sydney Montgomery?" he went on. "Sydney, she became a very famous musician/singer. Also, she's the best baseball player on the team and she's very cute and pretty." I said. "Oh so you like her, huh?" he said. I was blushing a little bit. "No, I'm just stating my opinion." I said. Then, Benny asked if anyone was qualified for The Dodgers someday, I decided to go over there and show him up. "Right here, partner." I called out.

I was like, "Are you crazy, Tommy?" in my head mentally. I just went up there and cross my arms in concern. "Fine, Santorelli. Show us what you got." I replied. Ryan got a bat for Tommy, and gave it to him. I saw Tommy hit the first ball that Benny threw at him, later I see him hit them on every one of them. I see him run up to me, with a smile of confidence. "Is that fine, Sydney." He said.

"Great." I said. "Where did you learn how to hit like that?" asked Benny. "Roger Clemmons and Michael Johnson." said Tommy. "Must be Seventh Graders." replied Wok and Roll. "Hey, with him on our team we could enter the all-city state championship." excitedly D.P.

"Enter? You guys could win it." replied Squints. "Very high probability." said Q. We ran up to each other cheering getting excited. "Wait who said anything about me being on your team, I'm not going to be here very long. Look at it this way, I'll show you how it's done that's my gift to you guys. They don't call me the Santa for nothing." Tommy said. "Stupid, Santa." muttered D.P.

"By the way Tommy, nobody here calls you Santa." I called out. Then, I see him talk to Benny about something. To tell, you the truth I believe that he should be on the team. He's a very good player and he's capable of what he's doing. I hope he changes his mind.
