MEGUMI FUSHIGURO WASN'T THE kind of guy to fawn or crush over others. He was stoic and focused; a no-nonsense boy focused merely on his studies and extra-curriculars. Or at least that was what everyone who wasn't close to him believed.
But in all honesty, he was just as weak in the knees by a certain someone as most teenagers his age tend to be.
Like at this very moment; the dark-haired male sits behind the bleachers in the shade provided by them from the scorching sun.
It was lunch period, and he was discreetly watching a group of boys from his class play a game of baseball as he waited for his two friends to meet up with him.
But even though he seemed oh-so engrossed in the baseball game, his eyes didn't seem to follow the ball or the scoreboard; oh no, his eyes only focused on one of the players, entranced by his characteristic enthusiasm.
"You should go join them, so, you know, you don't look like such a creep."
The sudden apparition of one of his friends by his side startles him, causing him to jump and tear his gaze away from Yuji Itadori.
"A warning, Kayo, a warning," he grumbles, setting his gaze on his friend.
"Warning." The girl, Kayo Ijichi, tosses him a carefully wrapped bento box, "Kiyo made extra last night, so I brought you some."
Kiyotaka and Kayo Ijichi. The former was the dark-haired girl's older brother and legal guardian; Kiyotaka also happened to be a teacher at the two teen's high school. A mild-mannered and gentle man, his Modern Literature class was a good one.
"I already have too many baseball practices and drills, I'm fine just watching. Thank you for the food," Megumi states hastily before he digs into the bento.
The two first-years settle in the cool grass and shade, eating their lunches as their third friend bounds towards them.
Yuta Okkotsu, a second-year and an older brother figure to the two, runs up to them, beads of sweat glistening on his forehead, his eyes tired yet gleeful.
"Are you two spying on Itadori?" He plops down, setting his bag next to the other's belongings, in a pile of school and gym bags.
"I wasn't. He was." The cropped-haired girl gestures towards Megumi with her thumb through a mouthful of chicken katsu and curry.
"I wasn't spying," the latter mumbles in reply.
"Oh right. Pining from afar is more fitting," Kayo snides, her lips turning upwards into a teasing smirk.
