"THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING this, Fushiguro-kun! You probably had weekend plans already, so I'm really glad you agreed to help me,"

Yuji and Megumi walked side by side towards the public library; it was a nice day outside, not too hot but warm enough to wear shorts and t-shirts.

"It's okay. I had nothing planned today. Kayo is stuck at home completing missing assignments anyway so there was no one to drag me out," it was true that Kayo was usually the one to make plans with Megumi.

"I don't want to fail the upcoming exams and get stuck in summer school. I'm pretty excited about our summer plans so I don't want to ruin it all," Itadori confessed. He really was excited about summer-- he could finally go to the beach again, it had been a while since he'd done that. But above all, he was going to be able to spend summer break with the boy he was possibly already falling for.

"Yeah, I'm...pretty excited for break too..." Fushiguro scratched his cheek lightly, bashfully.

"You said Sensei got us a hotel for five whole days!? That's awesome. And I thought one weekend was going to be cool-- now, I get to hang out with you day and night for-- uh-- I mean-- the whole group-- it'll be nice to see what-- what everyone is like outside of school...not...not just...you...I should probably stop talking now," Yuji chuckled nervously, his face burning bright red with embarrassment. How could he have slipped up like that? Kayo was right: he was down horrendously.

But to his surprise, his outburst seemed to strike something within Megumi. His chest tightened a bit and his stomach fluttered. Could it be...that his romantic feelings for this boy were...mutual?

Megumi hid the blush on his cheeks by turning his face away from Itadori.

Of course, Fushiguro was now uncomfortable, Yuji thought, anyone would be with a stupid outburst like that. However new these feelings for Megumi were, Itadori couldn't help but feel his heart sink...

. . .

Luckily today, another librarian was on shift, which eased some tension off of Fushiguro's shoulders.

The duo walked towards one of the tables near the back, one that was placed under a sort of alcove by a window. It was a cozy spot, perfect for a study session. Secluded, a nice...date spot.

Megumi shook his head, trying to push aside those seemingly intrusive thoughts.

The studying itself was more of a last-minute cram session before exams took off the following weeks. And though Fushiguro figured he was prepared enough, he didn't mind the extra studying.
