"Huh?" Questioned Mike. He heard what was said, he just wanted to know it wasn't all in his head. He flickered his eyes down to Wills lips once again and Will did the same, brushing it off and looking away with flushed cheeks.

"Can you s-stay with me? Like, up here with me?" His heart was beating at a peculiar pace and he didn't dare
look at Mike, he was already embarrassed enough just by asking.

"Yeah." Mike spat out after a while of thinking it over. Don't think too much of it Mike, he's just scared. He reassured himself while setting another pillow down on the couch.

Will and Mike laid there on their backs staring at the dark ceiling. Wills never been afraid of the dark until all this happened, when he was stuck in a dark cold dimension that was like Hawkins but not nearly Hawkins at all. Will closed his eyes still laying on his back and drifted off into sleep, yet again. Mike did the same too, shortly after. He looked at Will one last time, he sleeps so cute. He thought to himself. Before he could even stop himself to think, he leaned over to Will and kissed him on the cheek. Wait. Oh god! What did I just do? It was just on the cheek, friends do that right? I've never seen it but I'm sure they do. He panicked in his mind.

He tried to brush the thoughts of Will off and fell asleep. Soon to be awaken by Will, he was breathing heavily in his sleep and was gripping the blankets that laid on the couch.

"Will?" Mike spoke, waking Will up. He had teary eyes and couldn't form a proper sentence. "Nightmare?" Mike asked Will. He nodded slowly and looked up at Mike who had a worried look in his eyes. "Was it of the shadow monster?" Will shook his head no and thought of wether he should say it or not, it was just a nightmare after all.
Mike took Wills quietness as a he didn't want to talk about it way and sat up checking the time. They couldn't really tell if it was night or morning in the basement, not much sunlight shone in.

"Wanna get ready for the day?" Mike asked looking away from the clock.

Will nodded his head, still feeling like if he spoke he would burst out crying immediately. When they got upstairs Karen was already in the kitchen making pancakes and bacon for breakfast. She greeted them from the stove while flipping a pancake and asked if Will was alright, he just nodded for the third time that day and put on a fake smile indicating that he's totally fine and no one should worry.

"Hey Mike!" El cheered from the table, she wasn't eating pancakes and bacon like everyone else will, she was eating eggo waffles and drinking a glass of fresh orange juice.

"Didn't you dump my ass?" Mike playfully smiled to her. He knew she didn't mean it when she said it. "It's fine El," he laughed seeing the shock on her face, "we're still friends."

He smiled to Will and went to sit down with El, giving her every bit of attention and him none, once again. Will began to walk to the bathroom and Joyce, walking down the stairs stopped him to ask, "hey Will honey, you okay?"
He simply answered with, "sick."

"oh I'm sorry, I hope you feel better." She then kissed him on the forehead and went to the kitchen to help Karen with the cooking.

He didn't lie when he said he felt sick. He actually did, really, really sick. He leaned on the sink, holding onto the sides ready for anything to happen. He felt an unearthly type of sickness, like he was going to puke his guts out and die from it or something. Nothing came, maybe it's just a stomachache.
After waiting there for 10 more minutes just to be sure he washed his hands and walked out the bathroom to the kitchen. The walk was only 2 minutes but that was enough for Will to start thinking too much about last night. He didn't know what to feel, he felt angry. Mike does all that, stays with me the whole night then we walk out, El's here and suddenly I don't exist anymore?
He stops himself from walking to the kitchen and walks to the basement instead, slamming the door behind him, he didn't mean to... it just happened. How?

"What was that?" Karen asks, shaken from the loud noise. "Mike, was that the basement door?" Mike looked up from his pancakes and rolled his eyes getting up. "If I die, it's your fault." He jokes to his mom, she doesn't take that as a joke.

"Micheal! You're not gonna die!"

Will was down in the basement packing his things back up, nobody needs me here, I wanna go home. I should've never came back here.

Mike knocked on the basement door, "Will, you okay down there?"

"Yeah Mike, I am." That wasn't convincing, he shouted back in a way that he was obviously not okay.

Will gave up on packing his stuff saying he's just being dramatic over it and Mike can hang out with Eleven too. He opened up the basement door still mad at Mike but hiding it better now that the door was open and they were face to face.

"Your breakfasts on the table if you want it, we can even heat it back up."

God, why am I ever mad at him? Will thought, blushing at Mike.

Mike gave a knowing smile, blushing back at Will which he didn't see, his eyes were back to looking down at his feet again. Mike and Will walked to the kitchen sitting down and Mike glueing himself back onto Eleven. Will didn't mind this time, he knew Mike would never like him back anyways.
