"Hey, you okay?" Mike asked Will as they walked back to his house.

"Y-yeah i'm fine." Will faked a smile.

For the rest of the walk there was silence. Neither Mike or Will knew what to say to each other.

Mike glanced over at Will for a split second. He was picking at his cuticles and biting his lip. He looked as if he was gonna cry at any given moment.

"Mike?" Will said as they reached his front door. "Am I a freak?"

Mike didn't say anything, he just looked into Wills eyes then back at the door to open it. Will sighed to himself and walked in behind Mike.

Mike turned around suddenly to face Will, "do you sometimes feel like you're going crazy?" He was out of breath, like he was panicking.

"I mean yeah, doesn't everyone?" Will answered, confused.

"Well...remember when we- we said we would go crazy together?" Mike grabbed Wills hands. "What exactly did that mean to you?" Tears filled his eyes as he looked into Wills hazel eyes.

"I mean...that was a while ago Mike, I don't really know anymore." He lowered his voice sadly.

"Well I do." Mike smiled shyly. "Will Byers, you're my best friend and I would hate for anything to ever happen to you. Please promise me you'll never leave me."

"Why would I?" Will had tears in his eyes at this moment too.

"I-I don't know..." Mike looked down at his shoes.

"Promise me you'll never leave me too then." A tear fell from Wills left eye.

Mike looked back up at Will, with tear stains on his face. He let go of Wills hands and brought him into a hug. A different kind of hug, a hug you give someone you care for and love so much. A hug Mike once experienced with Eleven.

"Sorry I got so emotional, it's just- I care for you." He said after letting go of the hug.

"It's fine Mike."

Will opened his eyes and jumped up from the bed in the basement. He had another nightmare. There was this man like creature, he looked burnt. He wanted him to join him. Will rubbed the salty tears out of his eyes and walked up the stairs to get a glass of water, possibly some aspirin too.

The lights flickered on the way down the hallway to the bathroom. Will knew it wasn't him doing this though. He got to the bathroom to grab the aspirin and go back to the kitchen.

"Will, what're you doing?" Mike rubbed his eyes, he had a glass filled halfway with cold water in his hands.

"I had a really weird nightmare..." Will answered Mike. "There was a man, who was burnt and had no nose...he wanted to- to kill me. He wanted me to join him." Will shook.

"That it really weird..." Mike stared at Will. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah-yeah, it was just a bad dream." Will shook off the negative feelings he had deep down.

He walked over to the kitchen cabinets and found a tall glass cup for water. He walked over to the sink and filled it up, popping the aspirin in his mouth that didn't taste too nice. He took a large sip of cold water and swallowed the pill.

"Are you sure you're okay? Do you want me to come down there with you until you fall back asleep?" Mike asked Will kindly, too kind.

"Yeah...sure." Will felt awkward, Mike wasn't acting like himself.

Will started walking down the pitch black stairs to the basement and turned around to face Mike. He wasn't there though, instead there was the same exact burnt man from his nightmare. He stretched out his arm and aggressively grabbed onto Wills face. Will jerked up from the bed and let out a terrified scream.

He covered his mouth to muffle his screams and cries so that he wouldn't wake anyone up. Tears stained his face and it was too blurry and dark to see his surroundings. He rested his hand on his forehead and winced, he had a really bad headache that felt just like the one in the nightmare. He looked at the bright red numbers on the alarm clock, it read 6:30 AM. Will decided that he might as well get up and ready, starting with some water and aspirin.

Every other step to the basement stairs creaked as he walked up. Will walked up the stairs as quietly as possible and went to the bathroom where he knows Mrs. Wheeler usually keeps the aspirin. He walked into the bathroom and turned on the light, it flickered a bit before fully lighting up the dark bathroom.

Will opened the medicine cabinet where Mrs. Wheeler kept all the pain pills, laxatives, and her vitamins. He opened up the white bottle that read aspirin and took out one round, white tablet. He held the aspirin in his hand firmly all the way to the kitchen and grabbed a glass for water.

At least Mike wasn't here, that would've been creepy. Will shuddered at the thought of his weird nightmare.
