A web of lies

Chapter 6

When they got back to the house Jessica gracefully exited the car and excused herself to her room. She got out of her clothes and into her towel. She quickly went to the bathroom and into the  running shower.  She fell to the ground and started to cry.
She just sat there.
She couldn't pull herself together.
James broke her.
Worst!
She knew that she broke herself. She felt alone and scared.
All she wanted was for the pain to stop.
She was watching the man of her dreams fall in love with her best friend and her best friend flirt with the man she loves. She had no one to talk to because they were the two people she would go to when she had a problem.
For the first time James was so close but he never felt further away.

Elizabeth came and knocked on the bathroom door.  "Jess are u in here? We are waiting for you to come decorate the tree with us". She screamed. 
"I'll come just now, can't you see  I am cleaning myself?" Said jess sarcastically.  

After  sometime,
Jessica went downstairs.
Opened a beer,
put on her headphones and started to decorate one corner of the tree.
Music is the only thing that calms her when she is in her feelings.
All the family members knows this by now so they decided to give her some space.  James did not know this so he grabbed her ipod and jacked it in to the stero.
He said "Jessica learn to share!"
4 non blondes what's going on was playing, he looked at her and smiled, turned up the volume and started singing . Pretty soon everyone was singing along.
James just dressed back and started to take in the scene.
Something didn't feel right.

He knew he loved Elizabeth but he knew that something was wrong to Jessica and he felt drawn to her. 
A strong pull and he didn't understand what was going on. 
Elizabeth  walked outside, at the same time Jessica walked outside also but in a different direction he knew he wanted to spend some alone time with Elizabeth but his heart was pushing him toward Jessica.
He went up to Jessica and said
" Jessica I know that we barely know each other but I feel drawn to you except Lizzie and my parents i don't really know anyone else here.
Today I shared so many personal thoughts with you because my heart says I can trust u. Will you be my friend? ".

"I have always been your friend James".
She replied and walked away.

Paul came up to James and asked if he was enjoying himself. James answered  with
" Jessica is deep isn't she? I can tell she is. So deep I don't understand what the hell she means sometimes. This girl has been speaking in riddles all day today. Huh the mysteries of Jessica! ".

He shook his head in amazement and confusion and went to find Elizabeth.
