The next morning was Christmas. It had been so long since James saw his family on Christmas day. He was excited to have a traditional Christmas morning and what made it more special? The woman he loved was with him also.
James woke up the entire house . Every one was up except for Jessica.
"James entered her room, dragged her covers off her layed in one end of her bed and said " it is time to wake up, everyone is waiting on you to open presents!".
"No bro! I'm out. Can't make, need sleep ". Muttered Jessica.
"Jess, sorry I forgot! JESSICA!" Said James.
"Why are u sorry, they're both my name?". Asked Jessica.
"That's not what you said lastnight!". Exclaimed James.
" what are you talking about?" Asked Jessica confused.
"Don't pretend you don't know, you know what you did or better yet, said!!". Said James.
"James I really dont remember, some of it is really blurry, oh shit! Did I embarrass myself?". Asked Jess.
"Jessica it's Christmas morning and everyone is waiting, get dressed. We will talk about this later!". Said James as he was leaving.
James went to Elizabeth's room and said
" Goodmorning beautiful,
I can't wait to open your present,
I'm sure it's going to be amazing and i cant wait for you to open mines!"
And he went downstairs.
Elizabeth ran into Jessica's room and said " he is expecting a present from me! I didn't get him anything all I bought yesterday was a new note book".
Jessica took the notebook from Elizabeth and pulled out a perfectly wrapped box from inside her suitcase, she gave it to Elizabeth and said
" here give this to him, he will love it!".
Over the years of talking to James, anytime she saw something that remained her of him she would buy it. Just to feel closer to him or maybe give him one day.
When she heard he was coming home she packed it .
Jessica wrapped the notebook and put it in her bag of presents.
The girls went downstairs. In the midst of everyone talking ,laughing and opening presents James looked at Elizabeth and asked " where is my present?"
She looked at him and smile and handed him the little wrapped box and said "this is for you!".
James opened the box and inside was a card that wrote 'let's capture the moment' and there was this little silver camera that fit perfectly in his hands. He looked at her with gratitude and passion in his eyes like nobody ever made him feel so special before.
James gave Elizabeth a little gift box, inside layed a little gold chain with a black heart. She put it on and it turned gold.
Jessica saw that and her insides were doing somersaults. She was in the best mood.
She got so happy, she was handing out presents to everyone. James walked up to her and handed her a present. She handed him one also and they started chatting.
"So you went with the chain? Huh". Said Jessisa.
"What's that supposed to mean? You said that both of them was great!", asked James.
" guy, chill, the chain is fine. It's just that I personally would have gone with the ring". Said Jessisa.
"Why?" Asked James.
"Because the ring is fricking awesome!!!!, anyways, my dearest James! Please, please, please tell me what happened lastnight". Pleaded Jessica.
"No Jessica no, it's not time yet! Open your present ".
So she did! To Jessica's surprise inside the little jewelry box just sitting there was the ring. She picked it up put it on and it turned green.
"Thank you dude, this makes me so happy". Said Jessica while admiring her shiny new ring.
" I can tell!" Replied James as he tore the gift paper. He opened Jessica's gift and saw it was a notebook!
"Dude, a book? Really! Its empty! My gift was so expensive and yours even have the price tag on. Seriously, $3.99. How cheap!!!!".
(Jessica and James were both just goofing around) without even thinking about what she was saying, of the top of her head jokingly she took the book from him and put it flat on the table and said
" James!, you're looking at it all wrong, look at the book, are you seeing it? Well you're seeing it and I'm seeing it. You and I, James, we just watch the notebook together!".
Rose was passing and overheard them and asked " Is that the romance movie? I wanted to watch it was it any good?".
Jessica quickly realise that she and James had this conversation already and saw how he was putting the pieces together in his mind.
Jessica responded with, "I dont know aunt Rose I've never seen it I just know about it from Lizzie".
