After James got Jessica to the bed and fixed her pillows just right. He fell to his knees. He started crying. He did not hold back, he couldn't.
" Jessica when you left me at the airport and told me to let you go I cried, before coming to Trinidad I promised myself I would not cry for you again.
This is my fault.
I wanted to show you that you can't live without me!
I completely ignored you at that party lastnight and I saw it on your face you were hurt and you were missing me and i wanted that.
Not to hurt you but for you to miss me. After I texted you and played that song . That's when you left.
If I had just stayed with you none of this would've happened.
It's all my fault.
I'm so sorry baby I hurt you, and then you literally got hurt.
That nearly killed me jess!
Seeing you lying in the middle of the road like that?
Jessica I was outside my body I lost my head. I love you too much and I was frightened for you and myself. I can't live without you", cried James.
Jessica started crying also. He went to her and held her so tight and they just cried together. No interruptions. Just them. They just sat there and held each other. Nothing happened they just needed that time to hold each other. They didn't say a word.
James went outside to call Jessica's family and tell them what had happened. When James went back inside he saw Jessica asleep.
He got cleaned up and sat quietly on the other side of the bed and turned on the TV.
They both fell asleep.
Jessica awoke a couple hours later and said "sorry my pain meds are really drowsy".
It's okay Jess, I ordered you room service. They were both eating on the bed and she looked at him and said "you know this can't change anything right, Elizabeth is still my friend".
"I know, after I end things with liz and leave,
Even though we are not together, can we still text each other? ", asked James.
"What's the point we can't ever have a future anyways. Why make things harder?", asked Jessica.
"Okay Jessica I will leave you alone", said James.
