A web of lies

Chapter 11

Jessica just stood there, unable to move. She felt her whole world breaking, just crumbling around her. Her eyes went dead she turned around and walked away. She couldn't speak , she couldn't stand or sit. Jessica was hurting, BAD!!!!!

A little while later, James and Elizabeth came back from the beach. James looked at Jessica from across the room and left everyone and everything and went to her. He saw her ring inside her chain and it was dark blue. 
He said " Jessica! What's wrong?
Jessica looked at him, straight into his eyes and the tears just started pouring. She couldn't hide it. He grabbed her and pulled her close, he took her in his arms and said "Jessica you are trembling, are you okay?".
She held on to him as tight as she could, with her eyes closed she just took in the moment because she knew whatever they had was now over.
Everyone came up to her and kept asking what was wrong.
She  looked at them  and said in the softest voice

" I have to leave!, one of my friends got into an accident and I have to go to her! I am sorry! I just can't stay here, not knowing what I know".

"Do you need us to come with you?" Asked Robert

"No dad, please! Stay and enjoy the rest of your trip". Said Jessica while trying to hold back the tears.

Jessica went upstairs and started to pack she couldn't stay in that house for one more second! Elizabeth entered her room  and Expressed how she was sad that she was leaving and they switched back phones.

James helped Jessica carry her bags downstairs and made sure she got in the car ok. 
"Jessica do u want me to come with you?", asked James.

"No James! I am fine!  Whispered Jessica.

She drove of and did not look back. She drove for about 30 minutes and then just pulled over. She started to cry so hard.
Ever since James came to Trinidad Jessica has been hurting but she never had the privacy to let it out. She took full advantage of it. Her tears were running hot, like a broken pipe, she held her stomach like she couldn't breathe. You could hear the pain in her voice. Her eyes were puffy, her nose was running, she was a mess!

JESSICA'S POV 

I wanted to talk about it, damn it James, I wanted to scream or shout, fall to my knees in anony, all I did was whisper I'm fine, but I'm not,
I'm really not fine at all.
I am dying inside, my heart is so tired.
How could they do this to me?  How could she do this to me? She knew, she knew! I didn't tell her but she is my best friend ofcourse she knew!
I trusted her, my sister with the one thing I value the most and she..... oh God, it hurts, it hurts and I can't make it stop. I can feel everything in my heart and in my head and I just can't anymore. I have to forget him and I really have to find it in my heart to forgive her! What heart Jessica, what heart? The one that's in pieces right now?

Jessica cried all the way home and then she cried after she got home. Jessica's tears fell like rain that night and she was never the same again. She lost the only man she ever loved and the trust, the blind faith she had in Elizabeth?....... was gone .  She gave her heart to James and he gave it back to her when he kissed Elizabeth.
