A web of lies

chapter 12

Back at the beach house everyone was in a bumed  mood after Jessica left. Not so much that she left but the way she left.
 
Elizabeth came downstairs and saw everyone sitting around like someone had just died. She went to James and said

"It's our last night here let's do something fun".

"I can't, I just feel so bad about how Jessica left", said James

"Jessica is a big girl James she will be okay" said Lizzie.

"No, I saw her, she was hurting! Bad. I hate the fact that she is alone right now", said James.

"I know, but she wanted to be alone, that's jess, she cares to much about everything and everyone. We are going home tomorrow, we will check on her then", said Elizabeth. 

"Jessica has been a real great friend to me since I got here, I actually think I miss her ", said James. 

"James! Let's do something, it's Christmas night!", whined Elizabeth

"Sorry, my heart is just not in it, maybe later?", said James and he excused himself to go take a shower.

As James was coming out of the shower, his phone rang.
The person he left in charge, was having problems with a client.
James had just received the company and couldn't afford for anything to go wrong. He call 'Caribbean airlines ' and tried to book a flight for New York but the next flight was for the 27th so he took it. James didn't want to leave because he was just starting to build on the connection with Elizabeth but he knew she would understand because she knows how hard he worked to get there. He just had to find the words to tell her. 

As James was about to leave his room. He heard a knock on the door. It was Susan.

"James, I can't stop thinking about Jessica. I am worried about her, the way she left, she was really hurting.
I have never seen her cry like that.
You two have really bonded and I noticed a real change in her mood since u arrived. I know you have been a great friend to her.
My daughter is lonely do you know she has never been in a relationship?
Trinidad is a special place but it's to small for my Jessica and all her potential. Do you have a nice American friend, just like you that would be perfect for my Jessica?", asked Susan.  

James did not know how to respond to that so he  thought about it alot and said "Jessica deserves the best, I already have someone in mind, he will be perfect for her!".

James went to find Elizabeth.

"Hey beautiful, I have some news, I'm sorry but you won't like it. I have to leave on the 27th. I know it's early but something came up but I will be back for the party on New Years", explained James.

"No James, we are just getting close, our connection is now starting to develop, we need this time", said Elizabeth.

"Elizabeth Singh I developed a connection with you ever since the first day you messaged me. I will miss you!". Said James.

"James forget about the messages for now, I mean face to face. We need this time", said Elizabeth. 

"We will be fine lizzie, but I love the fact that you are worried", said James.
