Birds flew in the vast blue sky above. They swirled and chirped with one another carelessly and freely.

My hand reached out to them in longing, desire, and jealousy.

Strands of my silky, tawny brown hair contrasted beautifully against the green grass of the field below my back.

My gentle, loving, playful, curious, lonely, and distant heterochromic eyes blinked up at the birds mocking my flightless nature as I laid there in the field.

The blue partner glowed brilliantly like the sky, and the green partner sparkled like the lightly damp grass all around me.

Gentle winds caressed my pale skin as I giggled at a butterfly landing on my nose. It was almost glowing as the sun hit the back of it's glorious and delicate blue wings.

The smell of different flowers lingered in the air effortlessly and delighted my sense of smell.

"Oi, you going to lay out here all day, or come home and eat?"

I recognized the voice without looking at it's owner. However, decided to stay silent.

"I know you heard me. You're not fooling me, brat. I can't come out there to get you efficiently so don't make me struggle."

At those words I sat up and twisted to look at the one and only raven haired male I loved.

There he stood with his signature expression of boredom mixed with slight softness. Something was different about him. I couldn't see it properly as he stood at the edge of the field 15 meters away.

"Levi. You shouldn't be moving around." I heard my voice come out, but it felt as if I wasn't really speaking.

Everything began to fade and crack around me in terrifying ways like the world around me was crumbling

I didn't even get to see why he shouldn't be moving.

Because the world twisted until I collapsed hard into a vast expanse of water.

It felt as though I had fallen for at least five or six feet.

When I pushed myself up sheer horror gripped me like it never had before.

I was sitting in a pond's worth of blood.

Unnaturally, it flowed in ribbons up my arms. I watched the deep crimson liquid take the form of hands and grasp my forearms, elbows, and upper arms violently.

A shriek let loose from my body as I ripped myself away.

The blood fell in droplets and streams as I scrambled to get to my feet which seemed to get heavier every step I took.

Odd shapes in the crimson lake began to take form in the image of people I knew, drenched head to toe in the metallic smelling liquid.

I recognized multiple people I knew. People that were both dead and alive.

Farlan. Isabel. Flagon. Freya. Thomas. Ian. Mitabi. Daniel. Eliza. Hanji. Erwin. Mike. Eren. Mikasa. Armin. Benjamin. Patsy. Cole. Akita. Petra. Oluo. Eld. Gunther. Levi.

Those were just the faces I could see. The rest were standing in the shadows beyond my vision.

Not a scream left my body as I watched their lifeless, milky white eyes turn and lift to look at me simultaneously.
