i think that is the reason
to why our hands put down the pen
we say it is because
we are not inspired again
we just need a small pause
the pen of an artist
it tells more truths than words could ever
it will be our hearts
poured out to the world forever
and once we have exposed
every emotion
we fear they might say
we don't understand your devotion
what are you trying to convey?
and if this isn't the case
there is another fear
every word is a challenge to say
every piece of art we hold dear
maybe once we've said it all
they might not be more to be said
from every piece we've turned sweaty
now all that is left
is what is empty
