Dami was frivolously shaking her legs to the rhythm of the clock ticking. Her chin rested on her palms—mind wandering faraway thinking and calculating why Jungkook was reacting so much.

Whenever Dami could not understand what Jungkook was thinking, she used to force open his heart in front of her. Even two days ago, she threw his phone in the sea, just so the awkwardness between them disappeared.

The door of Dami's bedroom opened revealing Y/n who for some reason did not feel the need to knock. The brunette raised her head to look up at her.

She lifted her eyebrows indicating to spill the reason for which she had come.
"Didn't you hear the announcement? It's game day. Come on out." How could I possibly not hear it? She internally resented herself for being so engrossed in thinking about Jungkook. "I will be there in a sec. Thanks."

The new event was flag hunting. There were several flags hidden in the beach. The team who could find the most would win. The teams would be decided through lucky draws by the guys.

Dami facepalmed herself when she saw who got her. Jungkook walked towards her and grasped her hand, tying their team's symbolic blue colored band gently around her wrist. "Play however you want to. We don't have to win," Jungkook said to her expressionlessly.

Dami rolled her eyes at him but did not say anything since she did not want to go on any date with him if the prize for the winners was that. It's gonna be awkward.

After the given time started, Jungkook turned to her and muttered, "Let's split." He already went another way before Dami had any chance to say anything.

She mostly walked around, soaking in the sunlight. Her plain white top had a tint of golden in it. She collected a few flags so that she did not seem a total loser in front of the women who believed in her organisation.

When she came near a rest stop with a shade and two benches, she found Jisoo who was on Jimin's team and a guy in front of her whose face she could not see. Jisoo seemed to hurt her leg. Dami saw the guy pick up Jisoo in his arms. Her eyes widened when she saw that it was her own teammate.

Jungkook looked very worried as Jisoo was constantly whining about her pain in his arms. Dami was sure that she was furious because her teammate was helping another team, not jealous because Jungkook was his ex boyfriend.

Even though she got worried about Jisoo for a split second, her anger got the best of her. She slammed all the flags, that were in her hands, down on the ground and came back to the beach house.

Once again a team got disqualified because of a member getting injured. Jungkook could not collect any flag because he was busy taking care of Jisoo. Yet his eyes did not fail to notice the flags which Dami had dropped earlier. He knew at once who could do it.

Thus Taehyung and Y/n's team won. They had already spent some quality time together alone a day ago. So a date at that moment could really be a chance to solidify their relationship.

Jungkook entered the balcony where Dami was already sitting and reading a book. His eyes fell on her. She looked breathtaking in the golden sunlight, directing at the angle which perfectly refined her flawless features.

The male pressed his lips into a thin line. He had already known it was going to be a lot harder than he thought. With a cough, he broke the silence, notifying Dami of his presence.

"You forgot to take it off." Jungkook was somehow edgy all the time, those days. Dami looked at the blue wristband. "Yeah." She untied it and kept it on the table. She thought she had to get better at controlling her emotions by herself.

"Hate even the idea of it, don't you?" Jungkook gazed elsewhere as he could not help letting it out. "Going on a date with me." Dami looked puzzled, not knowing what he was talking about. He's the one who helped a rival.

"That's why you threw even the ones you collected."

Dami's jaw dropped. The whole time she was being patient and now there was Jungkook playing victim. "Aren't you the one who was busy flirting with someone else?" Her voice raised.

"What?" Jungkook let out a deep scoff. "She was injured, Kim Dami. What the fuck has gotten into you?"

"Oh really?" The female scowled. "Then why wasn't Jimin oppa with her?"

Jungkook frustratedly shrugged his shoulders. "They must have parted ways."

"Why can't you see Jungkook? She was faking it! That's why, she also sent Jimin away! It couldn't have possibly been a coincidence that she got hurt and you were there instead of Jimin oppa. I am a girl, Jeon Jungkook! Do you think you know girls better than me?"

"I know you," Jungkook stepped closer—his dark brown eyes gazing deep into Dami's hazel ones. "Very well—physically and emotionally," Jungkook gritted through his teeth. "I know what you can do just to avoid something you don't—"

"I don't need this bullshit." Dami stood up from her chair. "It's up to you whether you want to believe me or not."
