Jaehyun folds his laundry. He still couldn't get that night out of his head. Actually, the past few nights seem to be on repeat in his mind.
Everything had been so weird. Drawers were in random places, the remote that he constantly lost was always found in absurd locations, and finally, he heard the movements at night, movements of something that was never there.
As he was folding his last piece of clothing, a knock was heard at his door. After folding the shirt perfectly, he trod over and looked out the peep hole.
After seeing who it was swings, the door opened, "yuta!" He hugs the Japanese. "Hug me tighter."
Yuta wraps his arms around the younger, giving him that extremely tight hug. "This is as tight as I can go."
After about two minute of pure hugging and giggling, they let go of each other. It's been a while since they actually embraced each other.
Jaehyun is happy with his husband. However, yuta was definitely on his lists of people he would marry.
Yuta was the first to pull back. Being a full-time parent, a lot of responsibilities were placed on him. So naturally, he stopped going out. Jaehyun understood what yuta did. He really wanted a kid, so he made sacrifices.
Yuta pulls something from behind his back. "I have come bearing gifts." He hands the younger a green and blue striped bag. "Happy late birthday."
Jaehyun smiles as he takes the bag. He opens it up, "yuta, you are amazing." Jaehyun smiles as he lifts up a picture of the two back in high school. "Gosh, I can't believe it has been so long."
Yuta nods his head. "The..."
Jaehyun tilts his head to the side when he spots a big bottle of prescription at the bottom of his gift bag. He lifts up a bottle full of prescribed pills. "What is this?"
Jaehyun didn't recognize any of the pills. "Why are these in here?"Yuta huffs out, "Johnny told me to pick up your new prescription." Yuta grabs Jaehyun's hand and pulls him over to the couch so that they both could sit down.
After flopping down on the couch, the Japanese ask, "What's going on? Not only Johnny but taeyong is so worried about you."
Jaehyun looked away. He couldn't ignore how concerned yuta is. it's all over his face and laced in his voice. But even if he can hear how concerned yuta, it doesn't mean that the Japanese would actually listen to what he has to say.
Yuta snaps his fingers in Jaehyun's face. "I will always listen to you no matter what." Yuta says as if he is reading Jaehyun's fogged mind.
Jaehyun didn't know if he could trust that. Everyone who just ever promised him their ears ends up changing his medication or telling him it's all in his head. What makes yuta any different?"
"It's nothing." He mumbles while turning the bottle of pills around in his left hand."Nobody believes you. They say it's all in your head." Yuta says. "I know because I was told that. Did you forget that it has only been a few years since I was released from taking medication? I know the struggle just let me in."
Jaehyun kept everything bottled up. He pretends that everything is fine. He changes everything because of everyone else. The product of this is losing himself.
Before he even knew it, a few tear drops slipped down his cheek. Quickly wiping them away, he stands from the couch and walks away toward the kitchen to get something to settle his upset stomach.
Only the people close to him he should let in, but those are the ones who called him crazy and mocked him when behind closed doors. No one had to say a thing. He could feel it.
"Jae!" Yuta pulls Jaehyun by his free wrist. The Japanese stare into those browns eyes. "You know how I am, and i know how you are. Please don't make me ask you all night long because you know I will."
Jaehyun tries to look away, but yuta tightens the grip under his chin, forcing them to keep contact.
He is cornered. He could lie, but what justice would that bring to him. "I saw Jackson. I have been seeing him for the last two weeks."
"Like here?" Yuta asked. He points down at the ground. "Because we can leave this kitchen."
"Wait, you believe me?" Jaehyun questions as he follows yuta back to the couch. "You actually do?"
"Yeah, because I just had a priest come over to my house. It turns out that a little bit of the wangs spirits were lingering.
"Do you think that he is haunting me?" Jaehyun asked in a serious tone. "That would explain why I only see him in the heat of the night."
"That's a high possibility. So how about you sleep over at my house tonight, and we will get someone to bless the house tomorrow? "
Jaehyun nods his head enthusiastically. Finally, someone is getting him help, not ignoring him.
~~~~
"I'm done blessing the house." The priest walks over to jaehyun, who was leaning by his grey Nissan. "I blessed it even though I didn't feel anything."
Jaehyun slowly rises up. "What? How is that possible? I have felt something drag me out of the bed?" Jaehyun frowns as the priest just shrugged his shoulders in a response. "Are you sure?"
"Mr.Jung I am the best at my job. I'm pretty sure I can tell someone when they are being hunted and when they aren't."
Jae looks back into his house. "Then what could possibly be causing everything to happen?"
The doctor grumbles a few words as his hands fumble in his pockets. He grips a container and whips it out. "This is to blame. You see, this medication is about two weeks out dated."
Jaehyun cussed under his breath. He placed his hands on his hips as he started to truly think. If his medication had expired for even twenty-four hours, it could cause really bad hallucinations. Now, Jaehyun understands why all of those dreams seemed too real. Also, that explains the new medication.
Everything began to make sense. Sometimes sense doesn't have any place in the world, especially not his. But at least he got an answer for now.
