What could one do by themselves? Well, a lot, but Jaehyun didn't see it that way. He is stuck in the same pattern, Johnny promises to come home, and he gives his hopes up thinking Johnny is on the next flight, only to later hear that his boss made him stay. Also, how could he forget about the "I'm going to make it up to you" excuse of an apology that his husband gives.
Jaehyun rings out his towel before wiping off the table. With so much aggression built up, he didn't feel the vibrations that hit his house from the storm outside. However, he did start to feel pressure on his heart. It was an earthquake from an inside amount of rage he feels, it goes beyond everything that surrounds him.
He couldn't help but feel self-doubt. He lost all respect for himself when he actually cried over something that wasn't there.
Why is that so? He feels alone. Shouldn't that push someone to check on him? No one besides Yuta, Mark, and Haechan have checked on him.
Jaehyun could remember always being there for everyone. It didn't matter how far away they were or how deep the situation was. He was there. Jaehyun watched them and took care of them every step of the way. Isn't it ironic that he is alone now?
Jaehyun went to put the towel in his washing machine, but then his phone began to ring. It was a number he had never seen before.
Would it be crazy if he didn't answer? Maybe it is a scam?It stopped ringing, and the blonde released a breath he didn't know he was holding in. He grabs his chest when it rains again. He usually didn't expect another call.
"Hello?"
"Hello, is this Mr. Jung, Johnny Suh's husband?"
Jaehyun places the phone in between his ear and shoulder, "This is he, who is this?" The blonde sits down, waiting for an answer.
"I am his boss."
Jaehyun perks up. The last time he heard of this man, he was told that he couldn't go to New York with Johnny, in addition to him keeping his husband in the state of New York. You can say that he isn't too fond of the man.
"Hello, how may I help you?"
"Well, I would like to pay for a trip to New York." The man clears his throat. "I already bought the ticket for you, all you have to do is come."
To be surprised would be an understatement. His mouth falls agape. How could he refuse something so great as this. He can surprise Johnny.
"I will take it. Thank you so much."
The man chuckles a little at the end. "Please don't thank me just yet. You see, I have been keeping Johnny away from you. It's the least I can do to repay you."
This man was so different from what Johnny had said. Was he really so aggressive and revolting?
Jaehyun smiled more and more at the thought of going to New York to be with his husband. "Sir, I can only say t...."
"Well, also, I'm a little skeptical, tho. You see, he has been sharing a room with this woman for the longest time. They have also been a little too close."
Jaehyun stops breathing for a second. What was that pulse of hate that he felt? "What?"
"Yeah, I'm so sorry, I didn't want to tell you because you seem so sweet, but there is a possibility that he might be cheating on you."
"I'm on my way." He hangs up. Zooming around the house, he packs everything in a rush to see or catch his husband.
In record time, he was at the airport on the plane to New York. The whole ride he was jittery. He couldn't sleep, eat, or just relax.
