Chapter 1

-----Alex' POV-----

"Amelia!"

"Mommy!"

I catch Amelia before she hits the floor. I lift her up in my arms as Adelaide runs towards us and shouts for Amelia to wake up.

"Addie, go look for grandma and stay with her first. I'll go get you once Mommy's awake" I say as she hesitantly nods and glances at Amelia once more before running off.

I enter the palace and rush off to our room while Addie runs towards the opposite side.

On my way to our room, I spot Jason as he notices the situation and quickly approaches me.

"Jason, send for a doctor immediately" I say as he nods and hurries off.

Not long after, I place Amelia on the bed, and I sit down beside her as I wait for the doctor to arrive.

There's a knock on the door as it is opened and my father enters.

"Addie?" I ask as he enters.

"She's with your mother" father replies as he closes the door "She came to our room crying. Victoria is trying to calm her down"

Before I could speak, I notice the slightest movement on the bed. I focused my attention on Amelia as her fingers slowly started moving as her eyes slowly began to open.

"Hey, are you alright?" I ask as she nods then looks around.

"What happened?" She asks as she looks back at me.

"We were out in the garden with Addie and you fainted" I explain

A knock on the door interrupts us as it is opened and Dr. Hannah Anderson enters. Dr. Hannah Anderson is our family doctor. Amelia is familliar with her as well, seeing as she was one of the doctors who helped deliver Adelaide.

"Good Afternoon Your Majesty, Your Royal Highnesses" she says with a curtsy as my Father nods and she further enters the room.

"What seems to be the problem sir?"

"We were hoping you could do a check up for Amelia. She fainted a few minutes ago while on a walk" Father explains as she nods.

"Would you mind stepping out for a moment while I examine her?" Dr. Anderson asks as I turn to Amelia.

"Will you be alright?" I ask as she nods

Soon, Father and I were waiting outside the room. While waiting my Mother arrives with Addie in her arms.

"She insisted we go to you" Mother says as she hands me Adelaide who still had a few tears slipping out of her eyes.

I wipe her tears away as I reassure her that everything will be fine.

"Where's Mommy?" She asks

"The doctor is making sure she's alright" I explain as she nods, and soon she fell asleep in my arms.

"I'll see if things are going alright with the announcement" Father says as I nod, then he walks away.

Mother stays and asks what happened. While waiting for Dr. Anderson to finish, I explained what happened.

.....A Few Minutes Later.....

Dr. Anderson comes out of the room and approaches us, not showing any signs whether it's something bad or not.

"Is she alright?" Is the first thing I say.

"She would like to speak to you alone" she says as I nod.

"You go speak with Amelia. I'll bring Addie to her room" Mother says as she gets Adelaide from my arms before walking towards her room.

"I shall take my leave now sir. If you have any questions just call for me" Dr. Anderson says as I nod and thank her before she leaves.

I enter the room to see Amelia sat up on the bed with pillows at her back. She notices me and gestures for me to sit down beside her.

"Do you feel fine? Do you need anything?" I ask as I take a seat beside her.

She shook her head before saying "I'm fine, I only need you to listen for now"

I take a deep breath as I nod at her to go on and begin. I prepare myself for whatever is to come next.

"Alex, darling, Addie's about to have a sister or brother" she says

"What?"

"Alex, I'm pregnant" she says with a smile as I remain silent.

This is very unexpected.

"Alex? Are-are you not happy?" She hesitantly asks, her smile now gone.

"On the contrary, I am thrilled! It was just quite unexpected" I say as she smiles once more.

"I know, I did not suspect it either, until Dr. Anderson started asking questions"

"So there is nothing wrong with you?" I ask as she nods and I breath out a sigh of relief as I lean forward and kiss her.

-----Amelia's POV-----

There's a knock on the door and Victoria enters. She smiles at us before closing the door and moves closer.

"Addie's in her room. What did the doctor say?" She asks

"Dr. Anderson says you will be having another grandchild soon" I say as she stops in her tracks.

"Are you serious?" She asks as Alex and I nod, and she rushes over to us with a  smile while hugging and congratulating us both.

"This is wonderful news! When will you be telling Adelaide?" Victoria asks

"After a few weeks. We want to make sure everything is fine before we tell her" Alex explains as she nods.

We continue to talk in our room, and soon Edward arrives as we tell him the news to which he is excited about as well.

When we were expecting Adelaide we didn't really tell our family right away. We kept it our secret for a few weeks. However, this one is different because I fainted and they want to know if I am alright, so we didn't have much of  a choice.

While we told Victoria and Edward, we decided to wait a few weeks before we tell my parents and Abby.
