Chapter 5

"Amelia"

I turn around to see Sophia running over towards us. We immediately hug each other as we meet halfway.

"Its been so long. Maddie and I miss you so much in New York" she says

"I miss you both too" I say as we hug once more before she notices Addie.

"Auntie Sophia" Addie says as they both hug one another.

"How have you been?" Sophia asks

"Good. Daddy is teaching me how to ride a horse" she replies happily.

"That's nice. I would like to see you ride. I'm sure you ride better than your mother" Sophia says

"Hey! I've improved!" I reply

Before she gets to reply Grey approaches us as Sophia gets up.

"Grey, it's great to finally meet you in person" I say as we hug each other.

"Same as you. Thank you for allowing us to stay here" he replies

"That's no problem. We are glad to have you both here"

.....A Few Hours Later.....

We were all seated at the garden when Alex arrives. He walks over towards us and greets me with a kiss. Before greeting Sophia and Grey. Addie is with Edward and Victoria inside.

"Any date for the wedding yet?" Alex asks as he takes a seat beside me.

"Yes" Sophia says as Alex and I turn to her "In 3 months. We plan to hold it in New York. We're hoping you both could come, along with Adelaide" she says as she hands us over an invitation.

"We are definitely going!" I say as I open the invitation.

We talk a bit more before Addie comes out and approaches us.

"Daddy, can we ride today?" She asks

"I am a bit busy today. How about tomorrow?" Alex says as Addie nods.

"Can we show Auntie Sophia my pony? Just for a little while?" She asks as Alex turns to us before agreeing.

Alex gets up, followed by Sophia as they head over to the stables. While Grey and I continue to talk.

"Oh, I almost forgot! Abigail told me to tell you to call her" Grey says

"Ah yes, I haven't really had the time to call her lately. Things have been very busy" I say as we continue to talk until Alex, Addie, and Sophia return.

Not long after they return, we have dinner and then retire for the night. I put Addie to sleep while Alex has a meeting with David.

.....A Few Days Later.....

I woke up to an empty bed. Alex had an engagement to attend to. I looked at the time and it was rather late. Breakfast was definitely over by now.

I quickly got ready for the day. However, before I got to leave our room, I had to rush to the bathroom to throw up.

My morning sickness is so much worse now compared to when I was pregnant with Adelaide.

I did not notice the door opening or Addie calling me, until she entered the bathroom.

"Mommy!" She says before running out.

I tried to go after her, yet before I could even get up, I had to throw up again.

After, I leaned my head against the wall for a few minutes.

-----Sophia's POV-----

I was walking towards Alex and Amelia's room when Adelaide was running towards me in the hallway.

"Auntie Sophia! Mommy is vomiting"

"Where?" I immediately ask

"In her and Daddy's room" she replies

"Okay, I will go check on her. Can you go stay in your room first?" I ask her as she nods before running off.

I run towards Alex and Amelia's room, knowing that she is not well and Alex is out in an engagement.

I notice the door was open as I entered and closed it before walking over towards the bathroom which had the door open as well.

"Amelia! Just stay calm. I'll call a doctor" I say as I noticed her on the floor, leaning by the wall.

-----Amelia's POV-----

"I am fine. It's nothing" I say as I continue to lay my head by the wall as I began to feel dizzy.

"You're obviously not fine. Do you know what's wrong with you? Or should I call a doctor?" She says as I sigh.

I stay silent for a few seconds before responding "I'm pregnant"

Sophia remains silent for a few seconds before smiling "So this is just morning sickness?" She asks as I nod.

Before she can say anything else we heard the bedroom door open and close as Victoria appears by the bathroom door.

"Are you alright Amelia? I passed by Adelaide's room and she told me what happened" Victoria says

"Yes, I am fine, the morning sickness is just a bit severe today" I say as she nods.

"Why don't you take a rest today? Edward and I can take care of Adelaide" she says yet was cut off by me throwing up.

"You are definitely staying in bed today" Victoria says as I lean my head by the wall once more.

"Are you good? Do you need to throw up again?" Sophia asks as I shook my head.

They helped me get up as I brushed my teeth before they made me rest. Victoria and Edward will be with Addie while Sophia will be staying with me until Alex returns.

-----Alex' POV-----

.....A Few Hours Later.....

I am still in my engagement when my phone kept ringing in my pocket.

While I am attending different events and engagements, I place my phone on mute. However, I noticed that it kept vibrating continously, indicating that is is a call.

I ignore it for a few minutes, until I decided to excuse myself for a minute as I walk out of the room to check who would be calling.

Worry begins as soon as I see that it is Sophia calling me, considering there were multiple missed calls already.

"Sophia? Is everything alright?" I ask as soon as I answered.

"Amelia isn't well"
