Here Zander is a cat (like an actual cat he can't speak or anything) and Luke is a dog.
Type: fluff and angst
Zander shivered in the cold, dark rainy weather, his purple fur blowing as he curled up into a ball, yet also trying to protect his sister from anything that might attack them.
They were homeless little cats, never once had owners, and they were stuck in this alleyway with absolutely nothing at all.
Suddenly they heard something, a noise, and not a nice one. A growl.
As Zander turned his head, there stood a much bigger animal approaching them, which looked like a wolf.
The tiny purple cat hissed at the large creature that stood before him, trying all he could to look tough, though deep down inside he was absolutely petrified.
The wolf growled again, eyeing the teal cat sheltered behind her brother.
Zander hissed again, backing away from the wolf and running over to Hailey, trying his best to protect her.
The wolf pounced, startling the two little cats as they flinched, ears back, claws out and ready to fight; that is until the big wolf jumped on Hailey, grabbing her with his teeth as blood dripped from her aching body as she meowed for Zander to help.
The purple cat didn't move, he couldn't move. He was so in shock that his body had completely froze. He just watched as the wolf ran off with his sister. The only family he's ever know. Now gone. Forever.
Tears fell from his eyes, stinging him painfully. (A/N can cats cry?) He hid back under the old cardboard boxes at the back of the alleyway and curled up into a small, purple ball, whimpering away.
After a few seconds of brief silence, another growl could be heard, coming into the alley.
Zander's ears pricked up at the sudden noise, turning his head slightly. He really didn't want to fight. He felt no use. So he decided to simply lay there and let whatever animal was lurking in the shadows do whatever they please to him.
After staying silent for a while, Zander turned his head around fully, now eye to eye with the creature.
It was a beautiful brown and orange dog standing infront of him, sniffing around the dark corner.
Suddenly it barked, making the purple cat flinch, covering himself with his tail, shaking.
The dog came closer, sniffling around still.
Zander backed up to the cardboard boxes, shoving himself against them forcefully. He looked at the dog whom was now closer than before.
He came closer, his nose right up against the dog, his floppy ears tickling him slightly. He was a lot bigger than the Zander, about double his size.
He sniffed, Zander for prepared, squinting his eyes shut, about to give up before he felt a lick against his face. His eyes widened, looking at the big dog infront of him.
He barked, wagging his tail, nuzzling slightly into Zander, whom was still shaking like hell, but had relaxed a little. He noticed his name tag; Luke.
Suddenly there was another growl, but this time it was the little cat's stomach. Zander hadn't eaten anything that day, there was no food around, sadly.
Luke heard this and quickly ran out of the alley, casuing Zander to relax a little.
Suddenly he heard footsteps coming towards him, the Auburn dog running in with something in his mouth.
He dropped it down infront of the little purple cat, startling him slightly. It was a fish.
His stomach growled again as he looked down at the item Luke had brought him. He still didn't fully trust the dog but he was so hungry he didn't care. He nabbed the fish away, tucking it into his corner, munching on it quickly.
Luke's tail wagged, loving the sight of the happy little cat. Well, not completely happy, he was still scared but still happy enough.
After finishing his snack, the cat settled down in his corner, about to doze off before feeling something tickle against him softly.
He saw the beautiful colored fur of the dog, brushing against him as he settled down next to the cat.
Zander tensed up at the sudden movement, but soon relaxed when Luke nuzzled into him, keeping him warm in the disastrous weather. He purred lightly, now also nuzzling himself into the nice warm dog, feeling the tickle if his majestic fur against his.
They both started feeling tired, about to doze off with eachother. They were now both completely happy. Still, Zander didn't know why he liked this dog so much already.
The end!! I kinda rushed this one a little. I had this idea for a while but never wrote it so here it is! Hope y'all like it👌
