💔What happened?💔

Type: Angst

Zander fell to his knees, sharp tears stung his eyes as he fell onto the cold, hard floor.

"SO WE'RE JUST NOT GONNA TALK ABOUT THIS?!" He sobbed, gritting his teeth, "ITS JUST OVER?!"

Luke sighed, looking down at Zander, his own tears forming in his lemon yellow eyes. "We weren't right." He let out deep breath, "You know this isn't working."

The pianist fell straight to the ground, now he was sitting down. "SO I DON'T EVEN GET A SAY IN THIS?!" He shouted. What was happening? Just like that, Luke was just breaking up with him?

The brunette clenched his fists, he'd had enough of this, "GOD, ZANDER!" He snapped, "YOU'RE SO NEEDY!! I DID EVERYTHING FOR YOU!! AND WHAT DID I GET IN RETURN?? A MISERABLE BITCH WHO GOT EVERYTHING!!"

Zander's eyes widened, fresh tears now streaming down his cheeks, "MY LOVE!! YOU GOT MY LOVE IN RETURN!" He couldn't believe what Luke was saying. He never got angry, especially not this much, and especially not at Zander.

Luke stared at Zander on the floor, he bit his lip, trying not to cry. He didn't even know what was happening himself. "Zander," he collected himself, taking deep breaths, "I-I'm sorry, I just, I can't be around you any more."

The grape sniffled, wiping tears from his lavender eyes. He stood up and walked over to Luke. "Please don't leave me." He whispered. "Please."

Luke looked into Zander's eyes, trying, trying hard to find the special feeling he always felt when he looked into them. Nothing. He sighed, "I'm trying, Zander, but I just don't feel anything towards you anymore." He looked away, averting Zander's gaze.

The grape felt more tears sting his eyes as they rolled down his cheeks. "Wait, s-so... We're just over? Nothing? Just like this!? I FEEL LIKE THIS IS COMING OUT OF NOWHERE!!" He hissed, crying uncontrollably.

"I'VE FELT THIS WAY FOR A WHILE NOW, YOU WERE JUST TO SELFISH TO EVEN NOTICE!!" Luke shouted, clenching his fists so tight he was hurting himself. "YOU NEVER APPRECIATED ME!! YOU'RE ALWAYS JUST SO CAUGHT UP IN YOUR OWN BUSINESS!!"

Zander took a step back, he couldn't believe this was happening. "I LOVE YOU, YOU FUCKING IDIOT!!" He let out a shaky breath, "I love you." He said again.

Luke felt fresh, warm tears roll down his cheeks, "I know. I know you did."

"DO." Zander interrupted. "Not did."

"I know." Luke said shakily from crying. "I just fell out of love. And I'm so sorry I'm making you feel like this. But, I think it's better if we stay out of eachother's lives." He took another deep breath, "Forever."

More tears stung the shorter man's eyes, "We've been together for seven years." He mumbled. "SEVEN YEARS!! DOES THAT NOT MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU!!?" He snapped again.

"OF COURSE IT DOES!!" Luke spat back. "I JUST DON'T WANNA MAKE IT ANY LONGER THAN THAT!!"

Zander sniffled, another tear falling down his cheek, followed by another one, then another and another until he was full-on sobbing again. "PLEASE! I KNOW WE CAN MAKE THIS WORK!! WE'RE JUST GOING THROUGH A ROUGH PATCH IN OUR RELATIONSHIP!! IT'S JUST A SILLY FIGHT!! I KNOW YOU LOVE ME, I KNOW YOU DO!!" Zander protested.

Luke's eyes widened, small tears filling up the corners of his honey eyes. "I did love you. Not anymore. We're done. We're over. I'm officially breaking up with you." He sighed.

Zander fell down on his knees again, trying to breathe through all the tears, though it was very difficult. "Y-YOU SAID TH-THAT I'D NEVER LOSE YOU!! REMEMBER? WHEN WE FIRST TOLD EACHOTHER OUR FEELINGS FOR EACHOTHER!! IN HIGHSCHOOL!! REMEMBER?" He sobbed uncontrollably.

Luke did remember. He remembered everything that happened that day in very specific detail.

"But recently, it seems like all I do is make you feel uncomfortable. I could never seem to find the right time, or the right way to tell you. And, I'm probably making you uncomfortable now."

"You're wrong! You've never made me feel uncomfortable! When you would get close, I was scared because I didn't want you to notice how I really felt about you; so I, pushed you away! I just wanted to protect our friendship. I... didn't want to lose you..."

"Zander, you'll never lose me."

Sharp, painful tears stung his eyes again as he recollected the memory. Back when they were so happy, so innocent. They thought it was them against the world. Oh how the times have changed. "Yeah, I-I remember." He sniffled. "I remember it like it was yesterday." He wiped tears that stained his cheeks which were red from crying.

They both staying silent for a while before Zander got up and walked over to Luke. "Are you really just gonna throw all that away?" He asked, putting a hand on the brunette's cheek, wiping more tears that fell.

"Zander, you can't make me stay. I can't be with you anymore." He explained, pushing Zander's hand off his cheek. "I'm leaving." He grabbed his keys, about to open the door before he felt something pull him back; well, someone.

"NO! WAIT!! PLEASE DON'T GO!!" Zander screamed, pulling Luke back by his arm. "YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE ME HERE!!" He sobbed.

"Let go, Zander." Luke said simply, no emotion in his voice whatsoever.

The pianist whimpered, sniffling, "Wait." He whispered. "I-if you're really serious about leaving... C-can I have one more kiss before you g-go?" He sighed, a slight tint of blush covering his cheeks, which were also stained with tears, "I would've appreciated our last one more if I knew it would be out very last."

Luke froze. "Uh, I-I..."

"Please?" Zander said shakily, "It's all I ask."

The brunette sighed, "Ok. But after that, I'm leaving."

The grape nodded, moving closer to the latter. He wrapped his arms around his neck, whilst Luke's arms wrapped around his torso.

They leaned in at the same time, pressing their lips against eachother's. Luke rubbed Zander's back comfortingly, making the kiss a bit deeper.

Once they pulled away, they let out deep breaths. Luke smiled at Zander for a few seconds as he caressed his cheek. He wouldn't admit it, but when he was kissing him, he felt a tiny spark. Like the one's he'd always get whilst kissing Zander's lips, but this time it was a lot smaller, though it was still there. He kept quiet about it, he had is mind set on leaving. And that's what he was gonna do.

"Well, goodbye Zander." He looked into Zander's lavender eyes.

Zander sniffled, more tears flooded through his eyes, "D-do you have to go?" He choked.

"Yes. I gave you your kiss. Now I'm leaving. Goodbye."

"Goodbye." Zander sniffled, "I love you."

Luke didn't reply, he just looked at him, then at the ground before leaving.

And just like that he was gone. The one Zander loved more than anything. He was gone. Forever.

What happened? Zander thought, his mind spinning as he chocked out a few more sobs.
