Eren's POV
Four weeks left till our junior year ends. That also meant four weeks left until the start of our summer break. Mikasa, Armin, and I all applied to the Wings Of Freedom Academy and we were suppose to get our admissions letter soon. All three of us were in our own homes waiting anxiously until we got our mail when suddenly I get a call from Armin.
"EREN! GO TO YOUR MAILBOX RIGHT NOW. I JUST GOT THE LETTER. MIKASA AND I ARE COMING OVER". He literally hung up right before I could say something. As I open my door, the mailman had driven away and I basically sprinted to my mailbox. It took a while for me to sort through the mail until I got to mines. Eren Jaeger, my name printed in big bold letters.
I was anxious. Armin, Mikasa, and I have been talking about applying to Wings Of Freedom Academy since we were kids. If I didn't get in, I would be so devastated, lose all hope, and drop out. Just kidding.. maybe.
Suddenly, all I hear is screaming down the street and spot Armin and Mikasa running towards me. We all live in the same neighborhood so it wasn't a surpise to see them running towards me, five minutes after Armin hung up. They finally reached me as they were sweating and all out of breath.
"Please", Armin huffed. He was so out of breath he couldn't even finish his sentence. I grabbed the two of them and basically ran back to my house.
We were now in my room. Hands literally shaking and sweating. You can see balls of sweat on Armin's face. As for Mikasa, she just had that same nonchalant look on her face but deep down, she was nervous, too.
"On the count of three", I said. We all counted together as our breaths were shaking with excitement.
"One....two....THREE!".
The sound of the paper envelopes ripping filled my room. I anxiously ripped open my envelope, and unfold the paper. At this point, my whole floor had shreds of paper all over.
Congratulations on your admission to- and before I finished reading that sentence I screamed out of pure joy. Followed by Armin, he started crying tears of joy. For Mikasa, she started jumping up and down because of her excitement.
"We're all going to Wing's Of Freedom Academy!", we all screamed while hugging each other. We just had to celebrate.
"Pizza and drinks are on me!!", I smirked at them while I got out my phone and started dialing for pizza.

"I'VE BEEN STARING AT THE EDGE OF THE WATER, LONG AS I COULD REMEMBER", Armin and Mikasa both suggested that we watch 'Moana' to celebrate our admission. Here they were, singing along to a kids movie which is giving me more reasons as to why we are never watching that movie again.
It was 11pm when the movie ended. Mikasa and Armin were dead asleep while Armin was snoring like a cow. For someone with such a petite figure, he sure snores loud. I stayed up just thinking about how our senior year is going to be like when we all attend Wings Of Freedom Academy. I cleaned up the mess that was on the kitchen diner. Empty pizza boxes and cups scattered all over.
I sighed to myself and started cleaning up. I took out an air mattress for Armin and Mikasa because the couch is just not big enough for them. I carried the both of them to the air mattress and gently placed them down before I head to my own bed.
Although, the celebration with Armin and Mikasa was amazing, I just wished that I was able to celebrate with my parents. All they do is work and only do they come home on holidays...and sometimes my birthday. It gets lonely and dead around this house for sure, but my best friends brings it to life every time they come over.
I sighed. I lay in bed as I stared into the ceiling until my eyes slowly start to close.

YOU GUYSSSSS!!!! So many of lovelies said that I should rewrite New Kids, and with careful consideration... I decide that I will rewrite it! This first (written) chapter kind of has the some plot as the very first chapter, but the rest of the chapters will be better (I hope lol).
