Eren's POV

After the next few weeks or so, the seven of us continued hanging out with Hange, Erwin, and Levi only during lunch, though. We never made plans to hangout outside of school besides going to our football homecoming and then going to my house, which is today.

Over the weeks of everyone hanging out, I never had a real conversation with Levi. I don't know what it was, but every time I attempt to even talk to him I get this lump in my throat. Every time we're in math together, it's nothing but silence between us. Like right now, Levi, Hange, and I were in math class listening to a boring lecture about Unit Circles.

I wasn't listening at all because I can literally just ask Armin for help. Though, I just pretended to take notes just to make it seem like I was listening although it was just a bunch of scrabbles all over my notebook. Levi, on the other hand though, had his iPad and used his Apple Pencil to take his notes but was too engulfed in the lecture to even notice me staring again.

I was suddenly caught off guard from a vibration in my pocket. I opened the notification only to read "You're staring..again", from Hange. I rolled my eyes and my thumbs began dancing on my screen before hitting 'send' on my phone and quickly placing it down.

"Dude, mind your business and pay attention", I replied back to her. I ran fingers through my hair and sighed as Mr. Spencer finally finished his bullshit lecture on Unit Circles..whatever the fuck those are.

"Talk to him, you're seeing him tonight anyways. Class is almost done", my phone vibrated again and I read the text that Hange sent. I thought about how to start a conversation with Levi because I would literally freeze whenever I did try to talk to him.

He turned his iPad off and closed it with his case as I watched him open his bag and place it in there. I guess he saw me staring when he let out a small 'brat' and rolled his eyes at me. I was taken aback by what he called me but quickly shook it off to say something to him.

"So..are you excited for tonight's homecoming game?", I asked as he placed his bag back down and pulled his phone out. But before he answered, it seemed like he was reading something on his phone based off his facial expressions followed by an eye roll. He sighed and put his phone down.

"Nope. It's just a bunch of big guys tackling each other down for a ball. Our team always wins though, no matter what. Only going to support Erwin despite how dirty the bleachers are", I laughed at his last comment to which he gave me a scowl.

"You think Sina High has a chance?", I asked in order to keep the conversation going.

"Didn't you just say Sina High has the worst football players?", he gave me a questioning look.

"I mean.. I don't know, maybe they have a chance?", I shrugged my shoulders until an idea came to mind.

"Wanna bet?", I said which earned an amused look from Levi. Suddenly, he shifted his body to face me and and rested his head on his hand. I felt like I just heard Hange, who was probably witnessing everything, squeal out of excitement.

"I'm listening", his eyes never left mines. For a quick second, it seemed like his eyes trailed off to my mouth before licking his lips. I widened my eyes and quickly looked away before continuing on with what I wanted to say. I guess he read my body language and gave a smirk before returning back to his usual boring expression.

"If Sina High wins, then you owe me $100! But if Sina High loses, then I owe you $100", I said proudly, but his face still stayed unamused.

It was quiet between us as I waited for his answer.

"If they lose, you have to do everything I say for one week", he cocked his head to the right. One week?  What the fuck is going through his head, I only wanted to bet with money.

"Deal", I replied unwillingly. I wanted to say no, but some voice kept telling me to say yes and I did.. it was probably Hange.

I sticked my hand out so we could shake hands on the bet. It took a few seconds for him to finally shake mines, and all I could think about was how soft his hands felt.

But I couldn't shake that feeling of butterflies in my stomach after that.
