CHAPTER 5

 Alex was exhausted, the last time he felt that bad was the last conversation he had with Ramsey, he was so heartbroken and alone it took everything in his power to get himself back, he had nothing left in him this time, when he looked up the stairs after entering the house he saw Jelena and Elizabeth coming down together

"What the fuck is this?" Alex was confused "someone explain this to me"

"Relax, I'm not stealing your bestie" Jelena rolled her eyes and sat on the couch "she's my partner for the science assignment"

"I am so sorry" Alex hugged Elizabeth "I came here originally to fight Jelena but now I feel so bad for you there's no fight left in me"

"She's not so bad" Elizabeth giggled and hugged him back

"Fight me, why?" Jelena crossed her legs

"Did you make Ramsey speak to me?" his facial expression changed

"Ramsey spoke to you?" Jelena was so confused "what does that have to do with me"

"Everything Jelena" he sat down "every fucking thing, do not gaslight me right now"

"Maybe I should leave" Elizabeth didn't want to intrude and Alex looked heated

"No, stay" Alex tapped the couch next to himself "you're always welcome"

"Maybe she should leave" Jelena said

"She's my friend and so she stays, right Elizabeth?" he looked at her

"Yeah I'm here" she hated being in this position, not even because it was between two people she didn't want to be in the middle of but because situations like this made her remember her parents and it made her sick

"Good" he faced Jelena

"You're acting like a child" Jelena scoffed

"Ramsey spoke to me today and said he was sorry" Alex looked like wanted to cry

"Great, I'm happy for you I guess" Jelena was expressionless "how does this concern me?"

"Is that a joke to you? You guys are fucking with me aren't you?"

"Believe it or not you're not the main character of whatever fucking movie you think this is, i don't wake up and actually have conversations about you"

"You're evil but this is the peak"

"Alex what's wrong" Elizabeth held his hand, all Jelena could think about was that she should be next to her and not Alex

"Oh my bad, let me give you context, the full picture" he shot a fake smile at Jelena

"Alex shut the fuck up" Jelena looked mad and Alex never had the opportunity to see her like this so he relished this moment

"So now you care what Elizabeth thinks after making her life unbearable at school" he laughed "remember Ramsey?"

"Yeah" Elizabeth was calm but deep down she needed to be as far away from this chaos as possible

"Well I lied, I know Ramsey, we basically entered Whitmore high together, I literally had my first kiss with him and from nowhere Jelena comes and whispers all these things into Ramsey's ears" he paused for a second "summary of it is she told him if he were friends with her he would never need to be scared again because he'll always be with her and they told everyone that the reason Ramsey stopped hanging out with me was because because I was a faggot with anger issues" he looked at Elizabeth with tears in his eyes and when Jelena saw Elizabeth's reaction as she turned to look at her, her heart broke "afterwards he warned me to pretend like he doesn't exist, he was popular now, Jelena's' friend, he couldn't be seen with a loser I guess. Funny how when Ramsey came out all of a sudden being gay was a trend in Whitmore fucking high but he still avoided me"
