Somehow Leni woke up on a stretcher, Risa on the ground, smiling? With blood stained face, her pink leather band on her flailing arm. Is she trying to reach for me?

And so I tried to reach for her, but every vessel in my body complained and all I got was pain and a protest from the stranger carrying my stretcher, "Ma'am, 'wag po. Baka may pilay kayo. Stay put lang kayo diyan."

I was in excruciating pain, but there's little strength in me left to plead and ask for my lover who seems so helpless and peaceful at the same time on the ground, her beautiful face being shone on by the specks of sunlight before the sun bids it's final goodbye for the day.

"Sa......sa! Sa!" Every vowel made me flinch, if every part of my body could talk, it would tell me to shut up because the pain intensifies as I continue my plea. "Ma'am, please. Ok lang si Ma'am, nawalan lang ng malay pero unahin na po namin kayo."

This made Leni angry, but she went silent because the pain overpowered her ability to contest. Bakit ako 'yung uunahin eh ako 'yung may malay? But somehow whatever was inserted through her bloodstream brought her to a land that could actually be called paraiso. The fiasco earlier could have been a bad dream, besides, she and Risa came from the islands, they probably went back to trek and explore more? But she could also remember Risa in panic?

The room is cold and dark, but she was not alone. The familiar likeness of the one she truly loved was situated just right beside her, all the fuss of the wire on Risa's body. An excruciating headache had dawned on Leni, which means, time for another nap.

The days in the hospital felt like seconds to Leni. She would wake to check Risa's bed, but her migraine would get the best of her and she knew it was time to go back to sleep again.

On what felt like one sleep later, was actually two weeks in reality. Leni was awoken by the brightness of the fluorescent lights and a sandwiched group of familiar people: Jillian, Tricia, Aika, Sinta, Issa and Ianna spaced out on the couch just in front of Leni's bed.

"Oh?" Her voice was raspy, but it was loud and clear enough to get the girls' attention.

Sinta and Aika went to Leni as soon as they've realised that their Mama Leni is now awake, the faces of the two girls looked as though they were grieving for someone.
