"Elizabeth? Elizabeth, hello?" I hear Henry says on the phone.

"Which one of you is, Elizabeth?" The man asks.

Wow, not that smart. Though, most criminals are not that smart. So, I guess he's normal. I think, laughing to myself. "I am." I say, crossing my arms.

"Who did you call?" The stranger asks, looking from the phone to me.

I roll my eyes before responding, "My best friend, who happens to be an ME and a friend of a detective. Who are probably on their way here." I turn my head and notice a street sign, "Here at Jefferson Street." I say obviously.

"Jo, we need to leave, now." Henry demands, probably worrying himself to death. "Or I could drive us there."

"Oh, no you don't." I hear Abe say, probably looking at Jo, "Drive him before he worries himself sick, please."

"Okay." I hear Jo reply, laughing.

"Thank you." Henry sighs, "We'll be there in a few moments, Elizabeth."

Emmett looks between me and the stranger and looks somewhat worried, "What's going to happen?" He whispers to me, as the guy starts pacing.

"Well, more than likely, Jo will arrest the guy and it'll be the end of it." I reply, in a very hushed tone.

"Both of you shut up." The stranger says, pulling a gun out.

Oh, great. Mine and Henry's secret could get out if he would shoot me or Henry. "Sir, you do not want to do that. You can walk away now and we won't say hide nor tail of this whole happening." I try to persuade the guy.

He shakes his head and replies, "No, you both know my face. And your," he points the gun at me, "friends know my voice. So, that's not happening, honey." I roll my eyes, "Would you like me to shoot you?"

I snort and think, Yeah, I die and return in the water. Smart, really. I hear sirens in the distance, getting closer with every passing second, "My offer still stands. You can go, or risk getting shot because you have a gun."

Before the guy can reply I hear, "NYPD! Drop your weapon!"

Jo! And probably Henry, too.

"If you make any sudden movements, the girl gets shot." The killer says, grabbing me and pulling me into his chest.

"You don't want to do this." Henry says, putting his hands up and slowly walking towards me and the assalent, that currently has a gun to my head. "If you spare her life, it'll turn out better for you." The stranger tightens his grip on me.

"One more step and she will get killed."

"Do you really want a murder charge on top of all of this?" Henry asks, still walking towards us.

"Henry, stop." Jo exclaims, almost jumping to him. The pain from where the guy is holding me gets worse.

"Henry, please, listen to Jo. Or the you-know-what will get out if you don't." I try to persuade, while trying to think of a plan to get myself out of this mess. "Please."

"What is she talking about?" A black haired, brown eyed guy in a t-shirt, jacket, and pants, asks, looking at me and Henry, then Jo.

"I'm not sure. Even Henry won't tell me." Jo replies, frowning.

"Enough of the chit-chat, I want my lawyer down here in an hour, then I'll let the girl go." The stranger interrupts, pointing the gun at, first, Emmett then at Jo.

"Hanson, get his lawyer down here, fast." Jo demands, getting a better grip on her gun.

About thirty minutes later, the guy's lawyer shows up, "Robert Schatz, what were you thinking? This is a direct violation of your parole." He says, as the guy I've come to know as Robert, let's me go.

"They were such easy targets, until she called the police." Robert replies, pointing at me as I stumble to Henry, forgetting all about Emmett.

Jo looks at me then at Robert, "Robert Schatz, you are under arrest for attempted robbery and for threatening to kill. You have the right to remain silent..." I drown Jo out while she reads him his right.

"Elizabeth, I thought I was going to lose you." Henry says, hugging me.

"You and I know that it'll  take more  than a mugger to cause harm to me." I laugh, looking back to Emmett. "I'll be right back." I say, turning to walk to Emmett. "Hey," I start out tucking my hair behind my ear. "You okay?"

Emmett looks up at me, with fear in his eyes, "I'm not sure. It was the most scary thing I've been through."

"Believe me, it doesn't get any easier." I sigh, looking back at Henry. "Why don't we postpone our date, for right now. I want to do this at a time that won't be rushed. Or a time that we both aren't scared." I suggest, sighing heavily.

Emmett nods in agreement and starts walking off. I walk over to Henry, "For what it's worth," Emmett starts out, making me turn to him, "you're pretty brave." Then he turns to walk down the sidewalk.

"Being immortal can do that to a person, huh, Henry?" I ask, laughing.

"You, my dear, are right. Let's get back to Abe's, shall we?" He asks, taking my hand and walking us back.

A/N: Hiiii! I'm so sorry for not updating sooner. I've now picked up a second job, not sure if I've told you all yet or not. And now I'm having massive boy troubles. And also, I'm not really all that sure if someone can get arrested for say that they are going to kill someone or not. I actually like how this chapter turned out. Also, I'm super sad that Forever got cancelled. And I'm going to take a creative writing course online. :) Those are also the baby bunnies up top in the media place.
