the two just stared at each other before the black haired girl finally voiced her thoughts out loud. "shittykawa-san i understand but.."

"iwaizumi?" she looked at the guy in disbelief.

"and makki!" the salmon haired spiker spoke up from behind the ace.

"and mattsun!" the tall middle blocker waved with a grin from beside makki.

"and don't forget kunimi-kun!" the two made jazz hands at the tall first year behind them who looked like he was so tired of just standing there, being alive.

same kunimi, same.

"all of us are good with it." utsui came back from conversing with the team with regards to the request of the ace and a few players of the seijoh roster.

"how about ya'?" utsui asked ymari who was still sat on her drum set's stool comfortably.

"i don't see why not." she shrugged, standing up and then holding her sticks out to the boys.

"who's gonna play?"

"that would be me, m'lady." mattsun grinned as he bowed lightly, taking the sticks from the girl as if it was some kind of blessing from kami-sama.

seinaru just nodded at him and then looked at the rest of the guys. "do you want one of us to stay here with you guys for setup?"

"nah, we're good." hanamaki waved it off with a grin. "thank you for the offer though, miss queen of the court."

the girl just blinked, gave them a nod, and sauntered down to the front of the stage where of the other nippon team members already were.

she sat in between utsui and ichigo.

"wonder why they suddenly decided to volunteer to play.." jordan wondered out loud.

nozomi started something incoherent underneath her breath, but the purple haired foreigner could determine it quite easily as— "it's obviously because they want to please captain like the last guy."

jordan only nodded with a sigh, probably, probably."

oikawa was sulking in his seat, rubbing the back of his head where iwa-chan had smacked him after his scandalous lyric display earlier.

ushiwaka even so far went as to come over to their table and ask oikawa why he phrased the lyrics of the song in a way that'll make "ushiwaka" look bad.

oikawa's reaction to him was a snarky, "it's episode 176 of oikawa and the opacity of this bitch."

(chile oikawa knows it's audacity, pls—)

in case you were wondering, the other 175 episodes were aired since the beginning of middle school. and if you didn't guess it yet, each episode contains ushiwaka's insistent pursuance for oikawa's hand in setting.

"not everything is about you." oikawa rolled his eyes at the shiratorizawa ace earlier.

the setter sighed, looking over at the members of his team who were on stage.
