We pulled into the parking lot with three minutes to spare. We made it! I looked at Nick, he had a smile on his face as he looked at me. "See I told you we would make it." He said while both of us got out of the car. I rolled my eyes and extending my hand for my keys. He is getting a little too comfortable with my keys. He tossed them to me before he opened the door to the school let me walk in first.

Does he do this with all the girls? I felt my stomach drop at the thought. Scarlett, you can't do this, but I want to. I want to have fun. I wouldn't admit this to anyone, but I had fun with Nick. Once I was inside I started to dig into my bag for my damn schedule. I was getting tired of this damn paper. When I pulled it out I also pulled out my glasses. Professional communication aka speech. I rolled my eyes. I hate talking in front of people.

I looked at the room number and shoved everything in my bag. I looked up at Nick, but saw no one. Okay, this just shows that I shouldn't involve myself with Nick. I felt hurt, why would he leave without saying anything? I took a deep breath before slowing walk to my class. I didn't want to be in a class for forty five minutes listening to someone talk about becoming a better speaker. I just wanted to be by myself and over analyze why Nick left like that- because he is a jerk. My inner voice yelled.

He didn't seem like a jerk at the diner. I stopped in front of the speech room door. I went to turn the knob but it was locked. Really, who locks the door? I knocked on the door, the teacher looking up from her podium, which was placed in front of the class. She motioned to a girl that was sitting in front to open the door. The girl looked eager to open the door; she had a big smile on her face. She looks like someone told her she gets free Whataburger for life. She must be the teacher's pet or trying to be at least.

When she opened the door for me she turned and went back to her seat. I closed the door behind me slowly give me enough time to look for Liam; he sat in the middle of the class. I made my way over to Liam taking a seat next to him. "When I said we had speech together I didn't mean sit right next to me." He said joking. I rolled my eyes, pulling out a notebook and pen from my bag.

"Shut up." I said simply with a smile. He turned his head to look at the teacher. He has a small smile on his face. I turned my attention to the teacher as she went on about how to become a better presenter. I rolled my eyes slumping into my chair. This is going to be a long class. She went on and on. I wasn't paying much attention; I was looking at the walls reading all the stupid posers that have to do with succeeding and life goals.

When the bell rang I was grateful. I just wanted to get the heck out of here. I picked my bag up from the floor and started walking to the door with Liam at my side. "Do you need a ride home?" I asked. He was digging in his bag for something. He didn't respond, I guess he didn't hear me. I stopped walking to give him a chance to find whatever he was looking for. When he looked up at me he asked, "I'm sorry what did you say?"

"I just asked if you need a ride home." I repeated myself. He shook his head and began to look in his bag again. "What are you looking for?" I asked. He closed his backpack and looked at me. "My phone, I must have left it in my locker. I need to call my mom and tell her that I was going to a friends." I nodded my head before saying. "Want to use my phone?" I moved my hand to my pocket before remembering Nick never gave me my phone back. My eyes widen, "Yeah, thanks its better that having to run to my locker and calling." Liam said extending his hand, waiting for me to give him my phone. "Nick has my phone." I said simply. "I have to go." I said walking away. More like speed walking away. My phone didn't have a password, would he look in my phone? I have nothing bad on there, but still that is almost bad as going through someone's journal.

I made it to the entrance of the school where I saw Nick standing yesterday, he wasn't there. What am I supposed to do? I spotted Paige. She was talking to the girl from yesterday in the cafeteria. I walked over to them; I didn't care if the girl said something. I just wanted my phone back. "Hey Paige, do you know where Nick is?" I asked in a rushed voice.
