CHAPTER SEVEN
When I finished getting washed and dressed, I head downstairs to the kitchen. That's where I found my mum and my auntie Hales.
"Morning babes, did you sleep well?" My mum asks as I sit down next to her. But I look away, pretending to look out of the patio doors. You know, just trying to hide the blush that's now on my face. I don't really, want her to see it because I know she'll question me on it.
"Yeah, yeah I slept really well, thanks..." I thank my aunt when she places a plate of toast and jam in front of me.
"Hales, is it okay if I go for a walk, in the garden?"
Her eyes go wide slightly, and my mother makes me jump a little when she feels my head. Just to make sure, I'm feeling okay and then she chuckles when swatting her hand away."Funny, har-har. I'm fine. I just feel like getting some fresh air in my lungs."
"Oh, are you sure you're okay? Angel, if you're feeling unwell..."
When I shook my head I told her again that I'm fine. "Mum, seriously. I'm okay. I promise. I just need a walk you know."
I shrug my shoulder like it's really no big deal.
"Oh, okay. Well, do you want some company? I can."Again I tell her no. I tell her I just want a little me time alone. As I say this, I'm picking up my breakfast and eating it as I go. As soon as I step outside onto the patio, I feel the morning sun as it instantly hits my face. I soak it up like it's my recharge. It's giving me some energy, just to see me through the day. Just like super, girl.
I carry on walking down the little narrow garden path that leads to a little break in the trees. All I hear are the birds singing, with a light breeze. It's making the leaves from the trees, make a rustling sound. It's a beautiful sound, too.
After walking for another five minutes, I'm surrounded by flowers, in the rose garden, with a huge oak tree in the centre. It's surrounded by, lush green grass. I also hear water running. So, I go to investigate and when I get further in there, I see a little water fountain. Wow, it's so pretty. I love this so much. I end up sitting against the tree trunk, just soaking up the whole peacefulness of the place while soaking in the rays of the morning sun.
"Hey,"
My eyes opened to see Baxter he'd stood just a few steps away from me. The Sun is beaming onto his short blond hair making it look even brighter against his tanned skin."Hey, Baxter,"
I take a deep breath hoping that Kaiden doesn't come looking for me.
"C-can I join you?" He holds his hands up, telling her he comes in peace. This makes me smile, as well as relax a little too because I don't think I can't cope with the third degree again."Sure, park ya backside big fella," I tell him while patting the space beside me his eyes light up when he smiles in return.
Gosh, he's handsome. His blue eyes bounce off the sun. They're sparking, and dazzling me. Mum told me my dad's eyes dazzled her. She also told me her magpie eyes, pulled her in. It was like he was the brightest the biggest diamond that she'd ever seen. As soon as he sits down, I feel his body heat. I also smell his cologne. It smells delicious. It's so nice. I turn my head and get a good whiff of it."It's Armani. I got it for my birthday, a few weeks ago."
"Oh well, happy belated birthday it smells delish though. I could smell it all day." I tell him while chuckling, which makes him do the same.
"Thanks." He says while shrugging his shoulders while also looking a little embarrassed, too.
"You know you can smell it anytime you like I won't stop you from taking in a lungful."
He's chuckling again now while I'm shaking my head, grinning.
"I don't think that would be wise do you?"
He sighs when I tell him this while running his hand through his hair.
"Yeah, I guess. Ori, you're making a huge mistake with him. I mean, you don't know what he's really like."
