CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

A few months of bliss passed by, until another force came on the scene. Oh, yes, an old force who I've not seen in a while. Unless you count the countless messages I've received and my place trashed again. Well, the garden anyway. They couldn't get into my place. You know, what with all the extra locks and security that surrounds it. Yeah, even with all the cameras they still came in and trashed it. Carter, my new bodyguard, he's been good at staying out of my way. And protecting me, too. But honestly, I really don't think he's needed. I mean, I'm with Kaiden almost twenty, four seven. You know, when he's not at work, of course. But even so, I really don't think I'd need this much babysitting. He's here like, all the time watching over me.

"Carter, I won't need you around today."
He sits up from his perch on my sofa, trying to hide his book. It was one of my books, and I'm surprised at what he was reading.
"Why is that? Miss, I've got orders to watch you all day."

"For hell's bells, Cart! Sop with the 'Miss' shit. Please, just call me Ori or Oriana. Pick either, I don't care. Just stop with the bloody, Miss crap. I'm going to Kaiden's place. It's his mum and dad's anniversary, and having you skulking around just won't do. You can stay here or take the day off, but I'm going without you."
When I said this, I hear a car horn.
"That's him. Okay, promise me you'll stay away, just for today. Please."
He sighed but relents, telling me I have to call him when I'm ready to come home.

"Okay, you enjoy that book. Oh, and if you find you like it? The DVD copy's downstairs. Fill your boots."
His eyes go slightly wide, knowing he's been caught. I watch his face flush red too.

"There are two other movies to go with it, so enjoy. Laters, Carter."
Before walking out, I send him a cheeky wink and he almost choked on his chuckle.

As soon as I see him, I rush over to him. I practically knock the wind out of him when I jump into his open arms. He instantly grabs my arse and I pull his lips to mine.

I'm giggling now, only because I was with him just last night. I tell him this too and he grins.
"Princess, I always miss you even when I'm with you and you go to the bathroom or the kitchen I miss you."

I'm creased laughing when he tells me this. He then allows my feet to touch the ground and then he smacks my backside, making me yelp.

As we're heading up to his parent's house, he stops the car. Only to then, pull in at the side of the road. It's one that's surrounded by sheep, too. Oh god, no.
