Jane's body was limp in the Soul's hand. As soon as it saw Helena it disappeared in a swirl of dark mist. Helena stood there for a minute in shock of what just happened. "Mom..." she stammered. She felt tears fall onto her cheeks but wiped them away and ran to the chest and grabbed as many knives, guns, and bullets that she could fit in her belt and ran back into the house. When she ran into the room she grabbed a hand mirror remembering her mom's advice of how the Souls were afraid of them and looked into it.
She saw her wide eyes looking back at her and focused on the pupils. But something made her want to run away and hide as soon as she did. She stuffed it in her pocket and ran outside again.
As she ran outside she stopped and thought to herself. What am I doing? I don't know where it took her so I can't even attempt to save her. What should I do? Mom, help me.
She looked into the hand mirror again and looked closely in the reflection of her eyes. In her blue eyes she saw a flicker of red and black. Then another pair of eyes appeared behind her. she turned around but saw no one there. She looked back and saw as a silhouette formed around the eyes. It formed a man around her mom's age looking at her.
It smiled and tapped her on the shoulder. Instead of it just being a reflection, she actually felt it. She turned around and saw him. He was tall with jet black hair and eyes and was wearing a black tattered t-shirt with blue jeans.
He smiled and put his hand on her cheek. "Hello my daughter."

Jane opened her eyes with what little strength she had.
She was dangling upside down from her feet in a dark cave with her hands tied in front of her. She tried to pull herself up but she was too weak. She looked around and saw that the cavern was probably as big as 3 football fields. There was no sign of an exit anywhere. There were many stalectites around her. She wiggled around and grabbed a nearby stalectite. She cut the ropes off her hands and grabbed the knife she kept in her boot. She slashed at the rope suspending her and dropped onto the floor.
She landed but then fell down again because she was still too weak. Her legs were covered in long gashes so she grabbed a nearby rock and pulled herself onto it. She felt around for something to help her walk. She felt some sort of smooth stick and supported herself on it.
This stick feels weird but it'll have to do. She found her small pocket light and it flickered on. She walked forward with her new walking stick and shined the light in front of her. As her hand slid down her stick she felt something wet and mushy. She shined the light on it and dropped it immediately.
The stick was a bloody bone with some flesh still on it. She shined the light on the floor and saw skeletons under her feet.
She backed up and felt something cold and scaly. She heard a growl from behind her. She slowly turned around and dropped her light. She saw a pair of red eyes, each as big as her face looking at her.

"So do you think she'll survive? She actually got herself down, only a couple of the other ones could do it before it woke up."
"Maybe... She has courage I'll give her that. But I know her, she'll eventually grow too tired to run, and sooner or later she will have to face it head on which is something she could never do."
" Sometimes your too cruel. I mean you loved her before didn't you? How could you stand by and watch her do this?"
"Love is a fickle thing. Besides I know she can do it, she's down it a million times before."
"Alright, alright. But David, don't be too soft or tough on her, she's just another expirement."
"I'm John, Andy. You should be able to tell us apart by now considering your our brother."
"Your twins, how do I not confuse you two? Plus you act the same too. Speaking of David, where is he?"
"Of collecting my daughter. It's time for her to know what's going on."
"Man, we've been waiting too long for this, the first stage took years why is Stage 2 only starting now?"
"Because she wasn't ready yet. Now her test will finally begin."
