King Dedede decided to go speeding among the streets of Cappy Town due to a festival happening just in the adjacent field.
Why the festival was happening, he didn't know. Surprisingly, he wasn't offended at not being invited. He simply claimed, "I don' see the point 'n pestival pish-pash. As long as they ain't revolutionizin' I'm okay with it."
At first, Escargoon was taken aback, and Sir Ebrum fainted at these words, but it was only when the King went for a joy-ride without the threat of a ticket from Chief Bookem that his behavior made sense.
If only Dedede had been told when the festival was.
He sped through town, Escargoon holding onto his seat, half laughing half screaming. The king's driving is a free roller-coaster, just without the tracks and the safety part.
Eventually, the King stopped in the middle of town, only to see many, many Cappies glaring at him, including Chief Bookem.
The Chief slowly approached the car, resting his forearm on the door. "License and registration, please?"
"Tricense an' what-now?" The king asked, utterly confused.
"You were speeding, so I have ta give ya a ticket for that. I also need proof of your license."
"A hwat now?"
"He's doesn't have one and he doesn't need one, so book it, Bookem!" Escargoon snapped, seemingly giving Dedede the confidence to step on it and drive away. Laughing.
If I escaped a ticket like that, and got away with it, I'd be laughing too.
"Ugh! The nerve of those two! Dedede needs a license to drive!" Tiff yelled.
"Actually, I think Escargoon's right for once," Tuff said, putting his hands casually behind his head. "The Mayor's license is issued under Dedede's name, 'cause he's the king and all..."
The three of them stood, not knowing who was correct.
