When they were out of sight, Elijah then suddenly stopped walking. His back was facing on me so he turned around and faced me. He was smiling but not smiling at me. His expression looks distracted, as if he's thinking about something very deeply. I was confused then asked "Hey Elijah! Earlier, why did you say that you were my friend instead of saying you were my brother?" He then snapped out of it and said "Don't worry Eve. I told you earlier, I just wanted to see their reactions." "Just tell them soon that we're actually siblings. They might misunderstand things." I told him. "Alright, but I'm getting so hungry Eve. Can we please eat something?" He asked while he had his puppy dog eyes. He looked ridiculous and funny so I couldn't help but laugh. "Okay, but remember that you're paying for your own." I said while walking towards a food stall. "Finee" He said in response then followed me.
There were many food stalls so I asked him which one he wanted and he said he wanted the hotdog one. We then went there, took a seat, ate hotdog and talked. "Oh and by the way that guy earlier Sammy looks really familiar but I can't figure out where I saw him before." He said. "Really? And it's Samuel not Sammy. Maybe you saw him in a mall or something." I said. "I don't know. He just looks familiar." He said. After an hour it was almost dinner time and he had to return to his dorm in another school because of curfew. "Bye Eve. I'll visit you again soon." He said. "All right. Bye Elijah." I said then he went to cross the street and took a bus to return to his school. I then started walking towards my dorm.
A few minutes later I saw Samuel walking towards back to his dorm in a serious expression. Before he went inside his dorm he mumbled something but I didn't get what it was. I was confused but I just continued my walking and went inside my dorm. As I was eating my dinner, I got a text from my brother.
6:11 pm
Elijah: Hey Eve. Remember that guy Samuel earlier?
Evelyn: Yeah, why??
Elijah: Well I just have a bad feeling and I think you shouldn't
stay with him too much before I figure out where
I saw him before.
Evelyn: I can't do that. He's my friend and
he'll be hurt.
Elijah: I know. Just maybe find an excuse to
stop hanging out with him, okay? I'm just worried for you.
Evelyn: Fine. But just know that you're overreacting.
He's a good guy.
Elijah: Okay
I then turned off my phone and continued eating dinner. "He's overreacting. He probably just saw him in a mall or something, why does he have to make me not hang out with him." I thought. The next day. I was walking towards the canteen to buy lunch when I saw Samuel and Allen talking together. Samuel saw me and said "Hi Evelyn." "Hi Samuel and Allen." I said. "Me and Allen just ate burgers, what about you? What are you gonna eat?" Samuel asked. "Oh well I'm just gonna eat some spicy noodles." I said. "Ohh nice. Later, do you wanna eat dinner with me and the rest?" Samuel asked.
