Chapter 11: Trying To Avoid You

I waited for his answer. I was nervous yet I was also calm. There was a part of me wanting for him to deny what he did before but there was also a part of me that wanted for him to confess and explain everything. If he really did it then I obviously wouldn't be his friend anymore..

Samuel: What do you mean?

Do you not want to go to amusement parks?

Well I'm sorry, I didn't know..

I read it and I wasn't sure if he was just pretending not to know what I was talking about or he just had no idea. I sighed. I knew I had to know why he did it or else I would just keep thinking about it and then can't focus on things. I was just going to ask again but then I realized if I just went straight to the point he might lie to me and I might fall for it. I contemplated for a few minutes then I just decided to say it was a prank, like what normal people would do if they didn't get the answers they hoped for.

Evelyn: LMAO IT WAS A PRANK.

HAHAHAHAHA I WISH I COULD SEE THE LOOK

ON YOUR FACE WHEN I ASKED THAT

He instantly replied back.

Samuel: OH-

HHAHAHAHAHA nice prank!

You got me scared for a moment.

Evelyn: :)

Samuel: So, what's your answer?

Can you come with us to the Amusement park?

Evelyn: Oh right...

I'm so sorry Samuel but I can't.

I gotta review for my Math test or else I'll fail it

and my brother would get mad-

Samuel: Ohh I see. It's alright, let's just hang out next time

when there's time.

I was just about to type back when another message was sent.

Samuel: Wait, brother? You have a brother?

I then instantly remembered that Elijah told Samuel and his friends that we were just friends. I just decided to tell the truth that Elijah was my brother but I knew that Samuel was just lying when he asked that. If he knows my brother then he obviously knew his surname and realized that we had the same surname. It could just be a coincidence but when Elijah went to the school that day I'm sure he then knew that it wasn't just a coincidence.

Evelyn: Oh right- I forgot to tell you.

Elijah is actually my brother. Ik that he said we were friends

But he was just joking and wanted to see your reactions.

Samuel: Ohh I see LOL.

I didn't reply back after that. My mind felt tired after thinking of lots of possibilities on why Samuel did that. I just decided to distract myself by reading since I knew I wouldn't be able to find out why anyway. After a few hours I went to my bed and fell asleep.

The next day. I woke up at 9:30 AM. It was Saturday again. I had been waiting all week for the day to finally be Saturday. I was excited but then I remembered what happened yesterday night. I tried to be positive and just have fun today. I took a bath, brushed my teeth, ate breakfast then I took my purse with me and left my room.

I was going to the mall to buy a hat because there would be a camping trip soon in my class. My mood was just getting better until I saw Samuel sitting alone on a bench. My feet stopped. His hand was on his head as if thinking of something deeply. Should I stop and say hi to him? I had no idea. I just decided to quietly walk to the exit of the school and try not to make him notice me. The bench where he was sitting at was near the exit so it was going to be hard. Then I saw a group of female students heading towards the exit.

I immediately decided to follow them so it'll look like I'm just a part of their group and so Samuel won't see me. Just as I was gonna start following them, Samuel's head went up and his eyes went towards me. How did he know I was there!? Did he have a sixth sense or something!? Without thinking, I just ran towards the exit. I started to feel something weird from my lower body but I just ignored it because I was in a hurry. He soon caught up to me and grabbed my wrist firmly.

"Hey Evelyn, what's wrong? Why were you running?" He asked confused. I froze. My mind thought of countless excuse and I just said "Oh hi Samuel! Sorry, I was just in a hurry 'cause I was worried that I would miss the bus going to the mall." I showed a convincing expression of that and I hoped that he would believe it. "Ohh, hahaha it's alright." He said. I then got out of his grasp and then I started to turn and run again saying "So I really gotta go now, bye!"

He then also started to run towards me with a startled expression then I started getting frustrated. After a few seconds I heard that his footsteps stopped and I was just about to get relieved when he started chasing me again and this time he yelled "W-Wait Evelyn your pants!"

I really felt weird on my pants and now that he said something about my pants it meant that something was wrong, so I looked down and froze when I saw what Samuel was talking about. When I suddenly stopped moving, he almost bumped into me. 

After seeing that I was just standing and looking down on my pants he started saying something while my face instantly flushed red from embarrassment.
