I froze. "Eve? Is that you?" I heard that voice again. "Hey Elijah. What a coincidence." I heard Poppy's voice from my back. "Hey, I agree. What a coincidence." Elijah said icily. I slowly turned my head around then saw Elijah's cold expression. I gulped. "H-Hey Elijah! You didn't tell me that you were coming here." I said while waving my hand wildly at him. Elijah frowned then asked "Did you guys just finish eating?" "Yeah, we're just paying for the meal right now." Samuel said. "I see. Eve, are you done paying?" Elijah asked me. "Y-Yeah." I replied nervously. "All right. Well, Eve and I gotta go right now. Bye, thank you for hanging out with Eve." Elijah said. "Oh no problem, bye." We all said our goodbyes then Elijah and I left the restaurant to head back to my dorm.

As we were walking I heard Elijah ask coldly "Didn't I tell you not to hang out with him? Why were you eating with them?" I stopped walking and looked at him "I know Elijah, but I just couldn't say no. And that was just a dinner with him and his friends in a popular public restaurant. It's not like I was alone with him in a dark empty alleyway." I said defending myself. Elijah also stopped walking and faced me. "But you still didn't listen to me. You told me you'll stop hanging out with him but you still did. And you'll probably just continue to hang out with him in the future ignoring my advice!" He said raising his voice. "Ehem, sorry I didn't mean to raise my voice Eve." I was still a little mad because Samuel abruptly just disturbed us and just took me away from them. Him raising his voice at me, his older sister just added oil to the fire but I just angrily didn't say anything. We continued walking.

"Whatever. Let's just drop it. Now tell me why did you come to that restaurant? Aren't you supposed to be in your dorms or something? Won't the teachers get mad at you if you didn't show up before the curfew?" I said. "Today is an exception. The teachers said that the curfew tonight will be starting from 9 pm, but it's only for today." He explained to me. "Huh? Why? What happened?" I asked confused. "It's the midterm exams today. They told us we can stay outside until 9 pm to show our family our report cards." He said. "Oh, I see. Well how are your scores? Let me see." I said. "All right." He said then he pulled out a card from his pocket. He handed it to me and I started reading his grades. After a few minutes I handed it back to him and said "Good job. All your scores are above 90. And Mathematics is still your highest." Elijah smiled then said "Yep, I'm great at Mathematics." "But Science is still your lowest." I said. Elijah frowned a bit then said "Well, Science is pretty hard. I just don't get why we need to learn about calculations of force, force fields, kinematics and stuff like that. It's unfair." "Well, you might need it someday." I said. "As if." He said then sighed.

"BZZZZZ!" A sound came from my phone that was inside my pocket. We both stopped walking and looked at my pocket then I said "Oh, I must've gotten a message." "Oh, okay." He said. I opened my phone and saw it was a message from Samuel. I opened it.

6:33 PM

Samuel: Hi Eve. Earlier was fun. It seems that May is

starting to like hanging out with you you :}.

Anyway, I wanted to ask if you wanna hang

out again the day after tomorrow? At an

Amusement park this time with the group

'cause Jade won six tickets for it from a contest

and we didn't know who to pick for the sixth and

so I thought of you. So, do you wanna hang out?

I was just about to type when Elijah suddenly said "Say no, don't hang out with them." I looked up then realized he was reading my message. I frowned at him then said "But Elijah I really want to go to an Amusement park!" "No. You can't go with them. If you really want to I'll buy a ticket for you someday." He said. My frustration turned into anger. "No! I will go with them to the Amusement park." I said. Now it was his turn to frown. "Eve, I told you do not go with them. I'm just worried about you." He said. "What's there to worry about? They've been really nice to me." I said. "Eve, just please listen to me. I don't want you to get hurt." Elijah said. "I won't be hurt! You can't just tell me to stop hanging out with them just because one of them looks familiar to you. What if he's just someone you saw?" I said. "He-He isn't! He isn't just someone I saw!" He insisted. "What? So you remember who he is now? Then tell me!" I said surprised. "No." He said. "What do you mean no!?" I asked frustrated. "Just no." He said angrily. "Oh I know! You remembered that he was just some guy you saw but you still don't want me to hang out with him so you won't tell me!" I said. "No you're wrong Eve!" I didn't say anything then continued to walk leaving him. "Fine, don't tell me! But I'll still go with them to that Amusement park!" I said. "H-He- He was the one who Samantha cheated on me with!" He yelled.
