【BAD LUCK】
It was a perfect morning. Leon was numb with comfortability under his duvet, and the sun poked through a small gap in his curtains, coating his face with warmth.Of course, his peace could never last.
The smell of eggs and coffee and sweet pastries drifted through his room. Leon got out of bed and stretched his arms, and yawned a wolf-like howl. He combed his perfect hair, and went to his en suite to shave his face. He picked up one of the many different medicinal creams Bruce had payed for over the years, and rubbed it into his chest.
Leon put a top on and went downstairs for breakfast.
His brothers liked to walk around shirtless. It was normal, in an all male household. They liked to make it a competition, and see who the biggest one of them was. If it was a real competition, Leon would win. But he never participates. The rare glimpses they've ever got of him shirtless, showed deep scars dragging all the way down his chest.
He walked down the flight of velvet stairs, his bare feet reaching the cold marble floor at the bottom. Leon entered the giant arch that graced the dining room walls, spotting everyone sitting at the grand table. He sat down with them: Bruce, Dick, Tim, Damien, and Jason's empty chair.
"Good morning." Tim said. Leon smiled at him.
Leon was known for being kind, but when he was away from the outside world, he closed himself off from everything.
He stayed silent at the table, helping himself to the tray full of eggs.
The television in the corner of the room played quietly in the background.
"Everyone loves you." Bruce said.
"What?" Leon asked. He pointed to the television. It was a news article: GOTHAM'S MOST ELIGIBLE BACHELOR - LEON WAYNE.
"I guess they do." Leon replied.
"You should be proud. I am." Bruce told him.
"Of what? I stand there and look pretty." Leon remarked.
"That's not true. You smile at the cameras too." Dick laughed.
"Great. I'm rich and pretty and everyone loves me." Leon replied, stabbing his food with his fork harder than he needed to.
"Do you have any idea how many people would kill to be you? You have everything." Bruce said.
"Not everything." Leon muttered. They fell into a mutual silence.
"Wow." Dick said. "What a great way to start the day. I understand you want to wallow in your self pity, but do you mind turning on the Leon charm in the mornings so I have a not so depressing start to my mornings?"
"Sorry." Leon apologised quietly.
Dick could never forget the day he met Leon. The scruffy, white haired, gold eyed boy, could not have looked more out of place in the mansion. His clothes were singed and he was scattered in bruises and cuts all over. When he saw Dick standing there, he asked him if he was okay, and if he needed any help. But that was Leon, Dick thought. Too selfless for his own good.
"Eat more eggs." Leon plated them on Tim's plate. "And don't eat that." He took the bacon away. "Animals are your friends, not your food."
"But it tastes good!" Tim whined.
"I'm sure you'd taste good too, if Albert fried you up, but I'm not gonna eat you, am I?" Leon said.
"Hmph." Tim sulked, but did what his brother said.
Leon did have a family. He had money, fame, and good looks too. But he didn't have Lina, and he didn't think he ever would.
a short one, sorry, but we'll see more of leon soon! thanks for reading!!
