It was an extra warm day outside today. Summer was peaking and the strength of the sun was almost tortuous. Hoseok had laid our mats under a tree in the shade. That knocked about ten degrees off the temperature, but we were both still drenched in sweat.
As we sat on the cushioned mats, Hoseok and I were trying to catch our breath from the intense yoga session we just finished. "Aish, it's so hot today!" He complained and lifted his white t-shirt up and wiped his forehead with it. My eyes instinctively were drawn to the exposed skin of his stomach. The ab muscles he displayed were surprising. Hoseok is skinny and I never imagined he looked that amazing underneath that shirt.
"Yes, very hot," I mumbled as I jerked my eyes away when he pulled his shirt back down and looked at me. Hoseok kicked his legs out and laid down on the mat, looking up at the leaves that were swaying in the light wind. "Maybe we should go inside." I frown to myself. I loved being outside and so did he.
Neither of us wanted to do that.
"What about we do water aerobics? We can get into the pool!" My idea shoots out of my mouth as I smile. Hoseok sits up quickly and grins at me. "Great idea My Lady!"
We scramble happily to gather our things and head back inside. As we walk briskly back inside, trying to avoid the hot concrete against our bare feet, I speak up. "Meet me by the pool in ten minutes. I'll change into my bathing suit and be out!" He nodded in agreement.
Once back inside, we split up, he went to his room, and I strolled to mine. My choices of bathing suits flashed through my memory. Which one should I wear? Of course, it would be fun to wear the most revealing one and watch Hoseok's face turn red not from the heat but from me. But I was royalty, I couldn't act like that. I'd choose the one piece suit that I had.
Digging through my drawers, I pull out the perfect suit. It dips down into my cleavage, I grinned to myself. It'd cover most of my body but still add a little sexy flair to my appearance. The print of the bathing suit was tropical, it had cute pineapples on it with palm tree leaves randomly placed.
After getting changed, I slip on some flip flops and tie a robe around my body and head towards the pool. I couldn't understand why my heart was racing. The anticipation was chilling me. I was excited to be in the pool with Hoseok. I tried to tell myself I didn't understand why, but deep down I did. I was attracted to him, and I was dying to see him soaking wet.
Heading out of the sunroom, I already hear splashing around and my eyes spot Hoseok who is flailing around, trying to jump on a float. It was an endearing sight. Eventually he got on top of it and sprawled out, soaking in some of the ultraviolet rays.
I enjoyed the view more than I should have. His skin was like a warm cup of coffee, a beautiful chestnut tone to his skin. He had gotten a nice tan while we spent each day outside doing our exercises and yoga. Much to my disappointment, he had kept the white t-shirt on, but it was sticking to his body, and I could make out everything on him.
"Hoseokie," I called to him as I took off my robe, he sat up and looked at me. His lips parted for a moment. I jumped down into the pool and grimaced at the chilly liquid that attached to my skin, causing brief goosebumps.
Sliding off his float, Hoseok approached me. "Okay, let's swim laps." I pout at his words. Honestly, I didn't want to work out, I wanted to play in the pool with him. I wanted to play Marco Polo and try to find him by the moving currents of the water he might leave behind as he moved about.
Hoseok giggled, "What, your highness?" I played with my fingers and continued to pout. I wanted to look cute, I wanted him to think I was cute. "I dunno," I mumble. He laughs lightly. He steps closer to me and flips my hair away from my shoulder. "You don't want to work out anymore, do you?" I shook my head. "No."
"Can't we have some fun? We already worked out plenty today. We sweated enough for two sessions." He grins and then thinks about it for a minute. "Your wish is my command your highness." My stomach bubbles into butterflies. If that was the case, I'd have him kiss me right now. But that wouldn't be right.
I jump up and down, the water slowing my hops. "Can we play Marco Polo?!" I get overly excited, and Hoseok returns the excitement with a radiant smile. "Yes!"
We play rock, paper, and scissors to decide who will go first. Hoseok lost so he goes first. "You can't open your eyes! If you cheat, I'll be angry!" I warn him as I try to slowly move away from him towards a corner of the pool. He agrees and begins to count to ten.
"Marco!" He yells out and listens carefully. I answer quietly, trying to seem farther away than I am. "Polo." He giggles and immediately begins moving towards my direction. I hold my hand over my mouth, trying to keep quiet. I dodge him slowly, trying not to make any noise. Even the quiet slosh of the water could alert him to where I was.
"Marcooo," he sings in the cutest way, and I can't quiet the giggle that bubbles out of me. "Aha!" He dives towards the direction of the sound and grabs onto my arms. I'm grinning like a fool when he opens his eyes and sees that he's caught me. "I got you," he whispered. My stomach filled with more butterflies, the way he was looking at me made me feel like I was the only person in the world.
