Remi is a tomboyish princess who must ascend the throne and become queen in half a year. Her father hires seven teachers to prepare her for the role. But can Remi concentrate with seven of the most beautiful men she's ever seen as her mentors?
I'm feeling much better after having a full stomach. I walk briskly, making my way towards the sitting room where our grand piano is located. I was supposed to be taught how to play as a child, but I never took interest in it. I was much more into running around outside, catching frogs, and chasing fireflies once the sun went to sleep.
As I inch closer to the room, I can hear someone playing a beautiful ballad on the piano. A smile graces my face, the music was so stunning. The way he was playing sounded perfect, and I was suddenly excited to learn from someone so skilled.
I enter the room and see a man sitting at the piano, his eyes are closed, and he seemed to be feeling the music flowing from his fingertips. I just stare at him for a moment and indulge in the beautiful tune that blew around the room like a windy spring day. He finishes and opens his eyes. He notices I'm watching him, and the man stands quickly. He bows deeply.
"Your highness! I didn't know you were here! I am Min Yoongi. I'll be teaching you how to play piano." I approach him, his head still down in a bow. He rises back up and avoids his eyes from mine. I stare at his face and take in his features. My second teacher was quite handsome, just like the first. His blonde bangs covered most of his eyes as he held his head down a little.

"I'm Remi. What were you playing? It was breathtaking." I'm curious, I'd never heard that tune before. My piano teacher smiles sheepishly. His smile isn't as wide or as big as Namjoon's, but it had an adorable aspect to it. It was considered a gummy smile.
"It's a song I wrote called 'I Need You.'" I smile, how incredible that he made the song. "Can I hear it again?" I ask sweetly and he nods, smiling timidly again. Yoongi sits back down on the stool and begins to sweep his fingers deftly against the ivory keys. My feet carry me over to him and I sit beside him. I watch as his manly hands tap each key gently. The beautiful music fills my ears and reaches my heart.
My heart warmed and melted as I close my eyes and am enveloped in the song. My eyes flutter back open once the song ends and I'm hyperaware of how close I'm sitting to my newest teacher.
Yoongi turns his head to face me and speaks. "Do you know how to read music?" I slowly nod my head. "I do, but it's been a while and may need a refresher." He absorbs the information and takes his sheet of music off of the piano and hands it to me. "Can you read the notes on this first line?"
He hands me the small book and I look over it carefully. I speak out the notes I believe I'm looking at but get stumped on a simple note I can't remember. It's on the tip of my tongue but I'm struggling. It's still early in the morning for me.
Yoongi points to the symbol I'm having trouble with. "That's just a pause." I nod quickly, I knew that. I felt like an idiot forgetting one of the simplest symbols. He takes back the book and sits it back against the piano. "Good, you're not too rusty." I smile at his approval.
He stands up and Yoongi instructs me to scoot over to the center of the stool. "Let's start with simple chords." Yoongi sits beside me and points to each section of the piano. "This is C1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7." I listen carefully and observe each section he points to.
He taps almost directly in the middle of the piano. "This is C4, but still considered just as 'C.'" Then he presses each key going to the right. "It goes C, D, E, F, A, B, C. That last C is C5. And then the sequence repeats itself." I look up at Yoongi and gaze at his face.
"So, it's always those chords in that order? It just repeats itself in each section?" Yoongi nods and gives me a small smile, happy that I'm following along. He points to a random key now. "What is this one? Think about it, remember the pattern."
I look down at the keys and try to remember where he said everything was. I count the keys and remember the sequence. "It's a...F?" I ask him and he laughs. "Yes! Good job!" He holds up his hand for a high-five and I hold up mine, he smacks his palm against my own.
"How will I know which C to start at for playing a song?" I have become super curious about this. I wanted to play as well as him someday. It's something I definitely wanted now. I felt guilty for ignoring my tutor when I was younger. If I had started back then I would be as good as Yoongi by now.
Yoongi laughs quietly, his shoulders bouncing. "Don't get ahead of yourself. Let's keep it simple." I nod to his words.
"Now, start from far left of the piano and hit each key and recite the chord it is. We need this hardwired in your brain." Yoongi gives me new instructions and I listen. I tap each key starting from one end to the other. I remember the pattern, it's a little backwards, but that makes it kind of easy to remember honestly. "C, D, E, F, A, B, C..." I go on and say each key correctly. Yoongi cheers and the smile on his face makes my heart do a handstand.
"Good job! You're doing great!" I grin to myself, feeling proud for catching on already.
Now Yoongi reaches his arms over me, and I sit back a little, to give him more room. "Now, here's a few majors I can teach you." He spreads his fingers across three different keys and presses down on all of them at once. "This is C Major, D Major, G Major and A Minor."
I'm watching intensely, trying to remember where exactly he is pressing. But all the major chords are so close together that I get a little discouraged. Yoongi looks up and sees my perplexed expression, he laughs lightly.
"May I?" He asks permission to touch my hand. I nod. Yoongi lifts my right hand and settles it against the right keys, moving my fingers where they need to be. He uses his hand to press down on top of mine. I feel my face heating up against my own wishes. Feeling his warm hand on top of mine was flustering me. "C Major." He presses my fingers down, then moves my hand to the next Major and narrates them as he makes me press them.
"T-This might take awhile for me to get." I confess, feeling embarrassed by his touch and by being such a novice. "That's okay." Yoongi grins at me. "We've got nothing but time. You can learn it at your own pace." I smile back at him. I was happy to have such a patient tutor. A handsome one at that.
My session comes to an end and Yoongi wishes me a good evening. "I'll see you tomorrow, your majesty. Please try to visualize the chords in your head until we meet again." I nod in agreement, and we go our separate ways.
