"Hey guys were here!" I say, peeping my head into the tree house.
"Yeah sorry it took so long, our mom made us put on our jackets and then she made me do the dishes." Scotty says, putting his stuff down and setting up his sleeping bag.
"Aww, you little mommy made you do the big bad dishes." Bertram teases.
"Stuff it Bertram!" I say, smacking the back of his head and placing my stuff down by a small table.
"Ow!" He yelps, rubbing the back of his head. I just roll my eyes and sit down next to Benny.
"Sup." I say, smiling slightly.
"Hey." He says.
It was a little awkward between us for some reason, I wanted to say something but didn't know what.
"So...." I say, trying to make conversation. "Uh.." I scratch the back of my neck. "I'm gonna set up my sleeping bag, i-I guess.."
"Okay." He says, getting up and getting his stuff ready as well.
After I got done I sat back down next to him, our shoulders touching, I tried to ignore it.
"Hey Smalls, you want a s'more?" Ham asks.
"Some more of what?" Scott asks.
Oh god..
"No, do you want a s'more..?" Ham asks again.
"I haven't had anything yet, how can I have some more of nothing?" Scott asks.
"Your killing me smalls!" Ham says, rolling his eyes.
I laugh at the joke, but feel eyes on me. "Hmm..?" I look over and see Benny staring at me. He turns away quickly.
"You have a staring problem?" I ask, laughing.
"Uh.. no.." Benny says, looking at his hands.
"Mhm, sure." I hum, looking around the tree house. It was actually pretty sick.
"Ok. Quiet you guys!" Squints says, but no one listens.
"Shh! Quiet! Are you trying to wake it up?! It just went to bed!" Squints yells.
"What went to bed?" Scott asked a bit loud.
"Shh! The beast." Everyone says.
"Oh, yeah!"
"SHH!"
"Now quiet, the legend of The Beast goes back a long time..." Squints starts.
(I'm not gonna write the story cause I'm lazy so after the story. 😬)
I was a little creeped out but once I looked around the room everyone was terrified, they all had pale faces. Even Benny.
"Whatever, you guys are just trying to scare me." I say, scoffing.
"No it's true!" Squints says. "Go over there and look out the window and look down."
"Alright." I say, getting up and walking over to the fence. What a messy yard... this dude needs to tidy up his yard... I think.
"Meh, just looks like he needs to do some gardening." I say, looking over at Squints with my arms folded across my chest.
"Your not scared?!" He asks in disbelief.
"Nope. Mama ain't raise no bitch." I say, proudly.
I walk over beside Benny and sit down.
After a few minute of talking, playing games, and other stuff I started getting tired. I laid my head on Benny's shoulder, my eyes getting heavy. Soon I fell asleep.
BENNY'S POV:
I looked down to see Ellie asleep on my shoulder. She was adorable. I couldn't help but look at her.
"Ooo Benny's got a giiiirrrlllllfrriiiiieeeenndd!!!" Squints teased.
"Shut up man! Your gonna wake her up.." I said, mumbling the last part but they obviously heard it.
"Awww you guys are soooo cuteee!" Yeah yeah said, fan-girling.
"Ugh, whatever." I say, looking back down at El.
After awhile I fall asleep as well, El was still asleep on my shoulder. I hope she doesn't get mad in the morning...
