"Come on give it to me!" Yeah yeah says, reaching for the baseball box. I yank it away from him.
Benny had sent me, Yeah yeah, and Squints to Vincent's to get another ball.
"No, I wanna carry it!" Squints yells back.
"I paid for it, I wanna carry it!" Yeah yeah yelled.
"I wanna carry it!" Squints yells again.
"Give it to me!" I yell, yanking it out of their hands. "There, problem solved. Now no one gets to hold it."
"Ugh.." they groan.
"Come on, let's go." I say, walking down the sidewalk.
"Oh, wow..." squints breaths out.
"Hmm?" I hum. I look up to see a tall girl, maybe 18? She had blonde hair and blue eyes, a aqua dress in with a matching head band. I had to admit she was very pretty. Maybe too pretty...
Squints just stood there on the sidewalk, dumbfounded. His mouth was hung open as he looked at the blondie.
"Who's she?" I ask, looking at Yeah Yeah.
"Wendy Peffercorn, Squints ultimate crush. She's like 18," Yeah yeah says, rolling his eyes at squints.
"Oh," I say, as I watch Squints stare at her. She looked back and smiled, waving while wiggling her fingers.
Oh dear lord, he's 11...
"Come on Squints, let's go!" I say, grabbing his arm.
"No!" He complains.
"We gotta go! You can stare at her ass some other day! Come on!" I yell, dragging him across the sidewalk.
Once we finally made it to the sandlot, we came in, me holding onto squints ear dragging him in, yeah yeah behind us laughing at him.
"Ow!!" Squints hollered.
"Shut up!" I yell, letting go of him.
"Where you guys been? We've been waiting here forever already!" Benny complained.
"Hey, don't be complaining to me! Look at him!" I told him, pointing at squints after throwing the now unboxed ball to Benny.
"Aw, squints was pervin' a dish!" Yeah yeah told, grabbing his glove off the dugouts bench.
"Shut up, no I wasn't.." Squints mumbled.
"Yeah yeah you were! Your tongue was hangin' outta your head and you was swoonin'!" Yeah yeah said, "Oh Wendy Peffercorn my dear lover girl!"
I laughed at that. "Yeah and it was disgusting. Your lucky I didn't leave you there." I said, flicking Squints' forehead.
"Shut up... I gotta a lot on my mind." Squints said, walking away to the dugouts bench.
"Yeah Wendy.." I mumbled.
"I heard that!" He yelled. I laughed.
Ham walked up to Benny with a coke bottle held on his forehead. "This pop isn't workin' Benny, I'm bakin' like a toasted cheeser! It's so hot out here!" Ham complained.
"It's 150 degrees out there, you can't play baseball." I said, getting a water bottle from Bertram.
"You've gotta call it for today."
"Yeah, you gotta listen to her Benny!"
"Vote then. Anybody who wants to be.... A can't hack it panty waist... who wears their mamas bra, raise your hand." Benny says.
