When Dean found the nearest cabin in the woods, they all began hiding from demons and the Demon. Sam and Karina salted every door and window in the cabin, while Sam was still having wounds. Sam and Karina are alone together in the main room, while Dean is checking on John.
Sam sat down on the table, letting Karina fix up his wounds. His face was still bloody, and some of the wounds were bruised. She grabbed one of the rags from her bag and began watering it. She cleaned Sam's blood off of his face first, leaving his blood on the rag.
Sam couldn't help but glance at every mark on her face. Taking all of her beauty. Brown eyes, her messy ponytail, parts of her hair are stringing on her face, her skin complexion. She didn't notice his eyes on her, she was just focusing on his blood dripping as it was cleaned off by her.
"Just to have to fix you up, so you can show off your pretty face to the other girls."
Sam squinted his eyes at her, "You called me pretty?"
"Why not? You have good looks, minus the clothing."
They both chuckled, she put away the rag. She began looking through her first aid box and grabbed some ointment to put on his scratches. She dipped the ointment on her finger and began putting on his scratch on the side of his face.
"So, you're really leaving, aren't you?"
"Well, we found your father. He's here with us now. You guys don't need me anymore. The Winchesters are back together again."
"But you're also on the list, Karina."
Karina looked at Sam, seriously, "I can take care of myself, Sammy."
She put more ointment on her finger, she lifted his chin up to look at her. Her finger was on his bottom lip a bit. Then she put on more on the other side of his face. Sam swallowed his throat, looking at her brown eyes one more time.
Karina put down her ointment and looked at Sam. "So, you're still going back to college? After you get it?"
"Yeah... how about you come too?"
Karina smiled, "Me? In Stanford? No way... I don't think they're going to accept me. I already know all the knowledge more than any of those know-it-alls do. Besides, this is me. This is who I am. Fixing the youngest Winchester's wounds before I depart."
Sam looked at Karina, sadly. Karina was smiling softly, and she took a deep sigh. Looking at his eyes. He looked down and hesitated about what he was going to say.
He looked up with close to tears in his eyes, "Karina... I meant it. Thank you for everything... I will always remember you."
Karina smiled softly, "Sam Winchester, I doubt that I'll forget you. And your brother. I truly meant it, I'm really proud of you both. Last year, it was a ride. Thank you for... letting Dean almost crash me in the first place."
They both laughed. Dean walked into the room, coming from another room. He was cleaning his hands with a rag. Karina looked up at Dean, "How is he?"
"He just needed a little rest, that's all. How are you?"
Sam stood up with wounds fixed but still a mess with swollen bruises and some scratches. He turned to Dean, softly smiling, "I'll survive."
Dean nodded and looked quickly at Karina as he sat at the table. Karina was cleaning up the rags, and the first aid kit on the broken stove. Sam asked Dean as he helped her, "Hey, you don't think we were followed here, do you?"
"I don't know. I don't think so. I mean, we couldn't have found a more out-of-the-place to hole up."
"Yeah." He looked at his brother, "Hey, uh...Dean, you, um... you saved my life back there."
