"No, Dad was in California last we heard from him. We just thought if he comes to you for munitions, maybe you've seen him in the last few weeks. Just call us if you hear anything. Thanks."
Sam was on the bed, talking to a friend to try to find any leads on Dad. Karina and Dean were on the table, to find anything in John's journal. Karina was on Sam's laptop to find anything, maybe a case that might lead to John.
Dean turned to Sam, "Caleb hasn't heard from him?"
"Nope. Neither has Jefferson or Pastor Jim. What about the journal? Any leads in there?"
Dean shook his head, "No. Same last time I looked at nothing I can make out. I love the guy, but I swear he writes like freaking Yoda."
"Karina?"
"Nope. Nada. A big, fat zero." She shut down the laptop and turned to Sam. "I can't see any cases that might lead to your father. Nothing in Kansas anymore after our last mission. Boys, we're going to find him. We need a big search."
"Maybe we should call the Feds, file a missing person's."
Karina widened her eyes, and shook her head, "Not that search."
"Yeah, dude, we talked about this. Dad would be pissed if we put the Feds on his tail."
"I don't care anymore."
Suddenly, a cell phone rang. Dean walked over to his bag as Sam continued, "As she said about what happened back in Kansas-- I mean, he should have been there, Dean. You said so yourself. You tried to call him and nothing."
Dean ruffled through his bag to find his phone, "I know. Where the hell is my cell phone?"
"You know, he could be dead for all we know."
Dean turned to Sam, "Don't say that. He's not dead, he's..."
"He's what? He's hiding? He's busy?"
Dean opened his cellphone, and he read something through his phone. Dean's face, shocked with happiness, "Huh. I don't believe it."
"What?"
Dean sat down on his bed, "It's a-- a text message. It's coordinates."
Karina lifted her head, and opened the laptop, "What're the coordinates?"
"42, -89." Dean walked over to her as she typed the coordinates down.
Sam stood up and walked toward them. He asked, "You think Dad was texting us?"
"He's given us coordinates before."
"The man can barely work a toaster, Dean."
Karina smiled at Sam, "It's good news. After all of this time we wasted, we probably found a lead to your dad. He's okay or alive."
"Well... was there a number on the caller I.D.?"
Dean answered, "Nah, it's said unknown."
"Okay, well, where do the coordinates point?"
Now Karina got the coordinates revealed. Karina and Dean smirked at what they were seeing. She turned to Sam, "You're a fan of Jack Nicholson? Very interesting coordinates. Rockford, Illinois."
"Okay, why is Jack Nicholson involved in Rockford, and how is that interesting?"
"While I was examining the leads, I checked the local Rockford paper." She turned a laptop to Sam and showed him what she saw. "Walter Kelly comes home from his shift, shoots his wife, then puts the gun in his mouth, blows his brains. The reason why I said JN, my friend is because earlier that night, Kelly and his partner responded to a call at the Roosevelt Asylum."
