Gone Without Goodbye

Chapter 2

"So why didn't your parents want you and Shane to be together?" Madison asked as the girls were heading up to the hotel room.

"Beside being too young, there was a few reasons like the fact his family wasn't rich like mine. And another one was that he was the bassist for a punk-rock band. According to my mom, punk-rock or any kind of music like that was the devils music."

"Oh damn, that sucks." MacKenzie exclaimed.

"Do you know if he's still in the band?"

"I don't know really. I haven't talked to anyone around here that is still in contact with him."

Once they got settled into their room, Stella realized she forgot all her soaps at home so she figured she would take a nap then go shopping. As soon as she fell asleep she started dreaming of the past again.

Stella's parents were out of town so she was staying at her grandma's house. Her grandmother, on her dad's side, always let her be a normal teenager. So when Stella told her about her friends that were in a band and that they had a show to play her grandma told her go and support them so of course she went.

They were all at one of their friends, Troy's house, waiting for a couple of people to get there before they wanted to leave for the venue that the band was playing at.

"So who are we waiting for?" Lucas asked.

"Uh, we're waiting on Nick & his girl Amber." Troy answered.

"Cool." Stella said as Troy decided to get out his camera to film them.

"Man, everyone is squinting." Troy chuckled as he scanned the camera around, making sure to get everyone who was there on tape.

He then aimed the camera on Shane.

"That's what you get whenever you film people. Get people squinting at you." Shane said, looking towards Troy.

"You know what Shane, you're gonna have a permanent squint is you get lippy again." Troy joked then moved the camera to Benny, who was putting their instruments in the back of their friends van.

"Hi Troy, just put my Amp in the, uh, van. That's how we get equipment to shows. We...we borrow everybody whose driving and ask them to put something in their vehicle." Benny said into the camera.

Troy then turned the camera to Lucas who had a shirt on that said 'sickboy' on the name tag.

"Hey, weren't you in that movie about heroin?" Troy asks joking around while zooming in on Lucas's name tag.

"Yeah." He chuckled as Troy zoomed back out.

"You look like a junkie." Troy jokes to him.

"Thanks." Lucas smirked, smiling.

Troy then turned to Stella with the camera, "What's up Stells."

"Hi Troy." She smiled sweetly & waved.

"Good head shot, thanks." He smiled then pan the camera back to Lucas, "You know what-"

"Let's hit the road." Benny said cutting Troy off.

"What about Nick & Amber?" Stella asked as they got into the vehicles.

"They called and said they're running late so they're going to meet us there." Michael answered.

"Oh okay."

They then started heading to the venue but decided to go to McDonald's beforehand. While the ones who were in Michael's car, which was Michael, Benny, Shane and Stella, was in the last window of the drive-thru Troy decided to be funny and walk over to them with his camera filming again.

"Troy, you guys got pulled over?" Benny asked after he started rolling the passenger window down.

"Yeah." Troy answered.

"Get it on camera?" Michael asked.

"Nah man, I got shit on me. I can't be filming cops when I got shit on me. We were drinking beer man."

"Awe man." Benny said at the same time as Troy was talking then spoke up again, "Oh really?"

"Yeah." He answered.

"Getting tore up." Benny smirked.

"Was it your headlight?" Michael asked.

"Yeah." Troy nodded.

"Told ya." Benny told Michael.

"Just a headlight." Troy smirked.

"This is the uh...pre-show pre-shit." Benny then gave a cheesy grin into the camera.

Stella shook her head & started giggling softly, especially when Troy took Benny's cup & started taking a drink of it.

"Come on Troy, you know I don't like to drink after people." Benny complained.

"Ew man." Shane chuckled.

Once Benny got his chip back, he took the straw out and threw it away then asked for a new straw. As he was putting the new straw in, he looked at the camera and stuck his tongue out.

"Get that thing out of my face man." Benny smirked.

"No, people need to see this." Troy rejected.

"Having a camera show while people are trying to get their food behind us." Shane chuckled.

"Yeah, we need to see what Schmucks you guys are off stage." Troy said.

"Don't we look like schmucks onstage?" Shane asked as Troy put the camera on him.

"You do." Troy joked.

"See, that's what I thought." Shane joked back.

Benny put the straw in his mouth and said, "We're gonna roll." As Troy had put the camera back on him.

"You gonna roll? All right see you later."

"See ya there." Benny stated.

"See ya there." Troy repeated as he started walking away.

Once they got to the venue, Lucas decided to be a rascal and hit Nick. He knew he was messing around so he playfully hit Lucas in the head.

"Did you just hit him in the head?" Stella laughed.

"That's right, I just hit him right in his fucking head." Nick chuckled in his British accent that he had.

Of course Troy was getting it all on film. Lucas, being the goofball he is, started dancing in front of the camera. Troy filmed a little bit of him then put the camera on Michael. He looked into it then went back to watching Lucas.

"Hey watch this." Lucas laughed softly to Stella then walked over to Michael knowing Troy had the camera on him.

He grabbed Michael's face & started acting like he was making out with him.

"Oh my God!" She laughed while rolling her eyes.

"Hey, enough of that!  Save it for private times." Nick joked.

And with that they stopped messing around because they were laughing too hard.

Shane, Benny,  Lucas and Michael were the ones that are in the band. Everyone else was there to support them. And in a couple of the songs Stella would sing with them which only when she got to go but that was very rare.
