A few minutes later the ambulance came and rushed Walker to the hospital with everyone following behind it. Not long after they got there, the doctor came out and told them that he was stabilized and he was going to be okay. When they got the word that family could go in and see him, Aiden was the one to go in first.

"Shane?" Stella asked, breaking the silence.

"Yeah?"

"Will you go to New York with Mackenzie and me when we go?"

"Sure, I will but are you coming back to Maryland?"

"I was thinking about it."

"Awesome."

Aiden then walked into the waiting room, "Stella, dad wants to see you."

"I don't know if I can."

"Please go in, he feels really bad about keeping this information from you for as long as he did."

She sighs, "As he should, but fine I'll go in."

She kissed her brothers cheek then went into her father's hospital room. As soon as she got in there, the first thing he said was he was really sorry for not telling her. She knew she shouldn't have gotten so mad but she couldn't help it.

"The reason Katherine didn't want you hanging around the Hart family is because she was afraid Judy would tell you the truth."

"Why?"

"Because she didn't want to lose you is my guess. She did love you Stella because I overheard her telling her mother and she rarely lied to her about stuff."

Stella scoffed, "If she's loved me she wouldn't have treated me the way she did. That could have been one of the times she lied to her mother."

"No, I could tell she wasn't lying. I can tell when someone is. Just like I could tell when you were lying about hanging with Shane and the guys. But I didn't care and so I didn't say anything because all I cared about was that you were happy, safe and stayed out of trouble."

She sighed, "I had to grow up thinking Katherine was my mother when she wasn't at all. So who all knew about this besides Judy and her now ex husband?"

"No one else knew."

"How did grandma, well Katherine's mom, not know I wasn't her real grandchild?"

"She lived in France until you were a few years old. She did have her suspicions but she never said anything, not when I was around anyways."

"Wait, the boys are older than me so they must have seen Judy pregnant I'm sure. So didn't they question what happened to their little sibling? Then Aiden and Abigail also would have questioned where I came from wouldn't they?"

"That I'm not real sure, they were too young to understand to fully comprehend everything about all that."

"So, that means I'm not half French then. Oh wait, isn't your dad, my grandpa, French?"

"French Canadian to be exact."

"So I'm part American and part French-canadian."

"Yup, and you have Irish in you because of Judy."

"Look, dad, I'm sorry for getting so mad at you earlier."

"It's okay, you had every right to get mad so I don't blame you."

"I just feel really bad about getting so mad, especially now that you're in here."

Walker grabbed her hand, "Please princess, don't be upset at yourself. I'm fine, I'm still alive."
