{ Bonfire }

Jay was changing in the car since she just came from practice for volleyball. She and the whole varsity team left for the Senior bonfire. It would be a tragedy for the Seniors to miss out. It was a once in a lifetime event only Seniors could experience at Coast High.

Jade got out of her car and ran to her friends who were already at the beach. She saw they all were at the bonfire and sat with them.
"Hey guys! Sorry I was late, practice went a little overboard hehe." Jade said.
"No worries babe." Mark said.
"Where's Melody?" Jade asked.
"She's picking up Artemis from rugby practice. It's her first day here but apparently, during P.E they were playing rugby, and she has history of playing rugby. The coach asked for her to join their practice tonight. I think she joined the varsity team." Samantha said.
"That's interesting. Rugby?" Jade said in curiousity.
"Hey guys we're here!!" Melody yelled.
Everyone looked at Melody and Artemis.

"Sorry for being late

"Sorry for being late. There was heavy traffic." Artemis said.
They sat down.
"You're not wearing a bra." Jules said.
"I don't usually wear bras. Mostly sports bra but it's really sweaty. Also I suggest you don't hug me since I am still very sweaty and smell like turf." Artemis said.
Everyone laughed.
"I fuck with the clothes though man. Looks fresh." Johnny said.
"Thanks man." Artemis said.
"You look very confused right now Jade." Melody said.
Everyone looked at Jade.
"It's nothing." Jade said.
"Let me help you sweetie. I'm lesbian." Artemis said.
"It's not that, but thanks for telling me. I was questioning how are you comfortable going out like that without a bra." Jade said.
"When you barely have any knockers, it's easy. For you princess, you might need more than a bra to secure those melons." Artemis said.
Everyone laughed, so did Jade.
"That was a funny one, but don't hit on my girl like that Artemis." Mark said.
"Who said I was hitting on your girl?" Artemis asked.
"You were looking at her breasts." Mark said.
"We all do. Heck I'll look at your pecs right now to make it even." Artemis said.
Everyone laughed, especially Jade, which was odd because she rarely laughs at jokes about Mark.
"I'm gonna get us a few sodas. Want anything babe?" Mark asked.
"I'm fine, just water." Jade said.
Mark asked everyone for what drink and left, Johnny joining him. Melody quickly took Mark's seat.
"You and Mark seem to be on good terms now." Melody said.
"For now haha. Let's see what happens when he sees another girl touching my breasts just to help fix my necklace." Jade said.
They both laughed.
"When are you gonna let go of him? He's been so possessive over you. It's getting really toxic." Melody said.
"Mark and I are the IT couple alright. We are the couple who will win Prom King and Queen. It's a must." Jade said.
"Prom is months away girl." Melody said.
"Ok and? We both gotta prepare ourselves for it." Jade said.
"I thought you were gonna be looser this year." Melody said.
"Oh I am, but I still gotta make sure I'm on top of everything." Jade said.
Melody rolled her eyes.
"I'm gonna go walk along the water now. If Mark asks where I'm at, tell him I went to the bathroom." Jade said.
Melody nodded as Jade left everyone else.

{ Shoreline }

Jade was walking across the shore, letting the cold salt water hit her bare feet. She kept humming her favorite song throughout the walk.
"Can you hum any quieter?"
Jade looked behind her. It was Artemis behind a large boulder.
"I was trying to smoke in peace." Artemis said.
"You smoke?" Jade said in shock.
"Of course I do. A lot of people do." Artemis said.
"I rarely know anyone who smokes at the school." Jade said.
"Maybe that's because it isn't really a flex to smoke. And smoking in the bathrooms at school are for losers. And with your school's security system, people wouldn't dare smoke on campus." Artemis said.
Jade nodded.
"You go continue what you're doing, I'll leave you." Artemis said.
"Wait!" Jade said.
Artemis turned around.
"Can you stay here actually? I don't wanna be alone. I won't bother you or hum. I'll just stand here and look at the stars and the moon in peace, just stay here please." Jade said.
Artemis nodded and sat back down on the sand. Jade just looked at the sky.
"The moon looks beautiful doesn't it?" Artemis asked.
"It does." Jade said.
"I had no clue you're dating Mark by the way." Artemis said.
"Yeah haha."Jade said a little embarrassed.
"You know, when I first met him at a store, he made fun of me for my style and my hair since it's super short. But once he found out I'm related to Melody, your best friend, he backed off. Just because Melody and you are best friends. He's an asshole. But I can see how the both of you are perfect for each other." Artemis said.
"It's complicated alright. You wouldn't understand." Jade said.
"Totally. But as for someone who's a girl and likes girls, I can easily tell if a girl doesn't like their partner." Artemis said.
Jade sat down next to Artemis as she continued to smoke.
"Why are you dating that jerk even though you don't even like him?" Artemis asked.
"I did like him last year. He was really smart and actually cared about stuff back then. But now that he's 17 almost 18, he starting to think that now that's he gonna be an adult, he can treat everyone as kids and he can be a somewhat 'adult' near us." Jade said.
"Oh I hate those guys. And you said he's almost 18? Damn am I older than everyone here?" Artemis asked.
"When's your birthday?" Jade asked.
"Today." Artemis said.
"Wait really??" Jade said.
Artemis nodded.
"Happy 18th! You're not gonna have a party or anything?" Jade asked.
"I'm not a party person. I don't like to socialize if you could tell." Artemis said.
They both laughed.
"Well, I say you should do something." Jade said.
"Like what?" Artemis asked.
Jade stood up.
"Let's get away from this crappy place and go somewhere." Jade said."
"Are you sure? Isn't like the Senior Bonfire really important to you?" Artemis asked.
"Not anymore. The people here ruined it for me, except for one person." Jade said.
Artemis smiled. Jade held her hand out, Artemis took it and got up. They both went to Artemis' car and left the beach.
