Artemis 1

Bathroom

Jade was back at school with Mark and her friends. Artemis stuck around for a bit but started making her own friends. Artemis and Jade rarely saw each other at school instead of one class, English IIII.

{ English Class }

Jade sat down. She saw Artemis wasn't there. She texted her.

Jade: Where are you class is starting?
Artemis: Not at school
Jade: I saw you this morning with Melody
Artemis: Hanging out with my friends outside of school
Jade: You keep missing out on class
Artemis: I don't wanna be there
Jade: Then what's the point of coming to school?
Artemis: To see my friends?
Jade: Can't you wait till after school?
Artemis: I have work
Jade: Right...
Artemis: Since when did you care about me?
Jade: I just don't want you missing out of class. You already miss the whole second week of school
Artemis: I'll be fine don't worry
Jade: And your attendance?
Artemis: My parents don't care about my attendance, only my grades
Jade: But still! You can be suspended for missing out on many days
Artemis: Your school doesn't do that. Your principal told me
Jade: You asked the principal?
Artemis: I have my reasons for asking, like my job for an example
Jade: Right...
Artemis: Don't worry about me Cupid, I'll be fine
Jade: Cupid?
Artemis: Melody says you're like Cupid because you know how to help couples stay together, and you give great love advice. No wonder you like Eros
Jade: I see

Jade put her phone away and continued to pay attention to class.

{ Bathroom }

Jade entered the bathroom. She heard talking in the back stall, which isn't rare due to everyone always hanging out in the back stall. But she heard a familiar voice. She went and knocked on the door. The door opened.
"Oh, hi." Jade said.
There was Artemis and Jade's neighbor, Selene.
"Hey Jade, it's been a while." Selene said.
"It sure has haha." Jade said.
"Wanna come inside with us?" Artemis asked.
"Um sure." Jade said.
She entered the stall as Selene closed the door.
"You know Artemis?" Selene asked.
"I'm her best friend's cousin. So yeah, we met." Artemis said.
"Nice." Selene said.
"Is this where you mostly hang out during class?" Jade asked.
"Yup." Artemis said.
Jade saw both Artemis and Selene pull out their vapes. Artemis took a hit.
"That smells good." Jade said.
"It's Selene's." Artemis said.
"Wanna take a hit?" Selene asked.
"I don't smoke." Jade said.
"Respectable." Selene said.
"I do kinda wanna try though." Jade said.
"We aren't pressuring you just saying." Artemis said.
"Can I just try one hit?" Jade asked.
They nodded. Artemis gave her the one she had and Jade took a small hit. She coughed a bit and they all laughed.
"You ok?" Artemis asked.
"Yeah haha. I am not doing that ever again." Jade said.
They all laughed. They all then heard keys and a walkie talkie near.
"That's a security guard!" Jade whispered.
"Shit I think he's coming in." Selene whispered.
They were trying to figure out what to do quickly.
"Give me your stuff." Jade said.
They gave her all their vapes. She hit them in her bra and quickly went into another stall. She took out her phone.

Jade: They will probably bag check you. You both gave me all your stuff right?
Artemis: Yeah we only had 2 vapes
Jade: Ok good

Jade flushed the toilet and got out of the stall. There was a security guard near the girls bathroom entrance. She recognized the guard.
"Hey Brian!" Jade said.
"Hey Jade. You look nice today, is there something going on today?" Brian asked.
"Family gathering after school." Jade said.
"I see. Did you hear people laughing in the bathroom?" Brian asked.
"Yeah a little." Jade said.
"Thanks." Brian said.
Jade walked out and took out her phone.

Jade: Just let them check you both. And if they ask why you both were in the bathroom together, say you were helping Selene out because she wasn't feeling well, and she was about to throw up. They will understand
Artemis: Are you sure?
Jade: Yes the staff here are very understanding
Artemis: And what about our stuff?
Jade: I'll give it back after school
Artemis: Ok the security guard is coming to us now!

Jade put her phone in her pocket and walked back to class.

{ After School }

Artemis and Selene went up to Jade near Jade's car.
"How did it go?" Jade asked.
"They totally bought it. And even Selene faked being lightheaded. They let us go to the cafeteria and grab food." Artemis said.
"It always works." Jade said.
"How did you know it would work?" Artemis asked.
"When Jade and I hung out all the time during Freshmen year, we would always meet up each other in the bathroom and just hang out. One time security came in and asked us what we were doing. We had our plan where she was throwing up and I was trying to help her. They let us go easily." Selene said.
"That is very smart." Artemis said.
"Did they bag check you both?" Jade asked.
"They did even though they didn't need to." Selene said.
They all laughed.
"Here are your things by the way." Jade said.
She quickly gave them their vapes.
"Thanks for saving us as always Jade." Selene said.
"Of course!" Jade said.
Artemis and Selene walked away. Artemis winked at Jade, and Jade smiled.
"That wink was really hot what the heck??!" Jade thought.
Jade started blushing a bit. Mark then went to her.
"Hey babe! You look red." Mark said.
"It's just really hot." Jade said.
"I agree haha. Shall we go now?" Mark asked.
"Where are we going?" Jade asked.
"Our date? It's our 6 months anniversary." Mark said.
"Right haha. Sorry, just really tired." Jade said.
"No worries, you can take a nap in the car ride to the restaurant." Mark said.
Jade nodded and they both went into her car and left.
