With a chuckle, Katherine responded, "It's not as easy as it sounds, Valz"

"Well, I wasn't exactly expecting it to be a walk in the park, Katherine. What do I have to do?"

"Valencia, you'll need to become a vampire."

"By now, you all should have read a few chapters of the book on the Petrova bloodline that I had sent to your dorm rooms a couple of weeks ago."

Ric paced in front of the classroom with an authoritative look.

"Does anyone care to give any insight on what they've read so far?"

Looking around the classroom, he saw that most of the students are staring at Valencia and Stefan Salvatore expectantly. Given that they were raised by someone within the Petrova bloodline, the students hoped that the Salvatores would take the reins of the, end of class, discussion.

Valencia had been tuning out the entire class, staring blankly out the window. Since her last conversation with Katherine, she had been lacking composure.

Noticing that his sister was completely unattentive of the question Ric just asked, Stefan decided to bite the bullet for hte two of them and raised his hand to which Ric happily called on.

"Stefan, please be the first the break the ice"

"I mean, my mom is a part of the petrova lineage. I found that the commonality between her and Katherine Pierce was that they were both victims. And I know that you all may be listening to me and thinking that I mean victims of Klaus Mikaelson but it's really his history and the history before that and so on."

"What if his father had treated him with kindness? What if Mikael's father before that did the same? It could have changed the course of every single one of our lives and this school may have not even existed."

Noticing the stunned looks on everyone's faces, Stefan slowly sunk into his chair.
