"Settle down. Settle down now, everyone," Dr. Alaric Saltzman said
Witches, Werewolves, Hunters, and Vampires alike were gathered in the Salvatore School common area. Dr. Saltzman called together an assembly to share some important news for his students.

"As you all may know, a week from now, on Saturday night is the annual 'Lockwood Memorial Ball' held at the Lockwood Mansion. They hold this ball every year in memoriam of the Lockwood family and the grave loss our town has faced as a result of their deaths. Every year, our school volunteers 20 of our students to help setup so if you are interested, please meet with Mrs. Forbes-Salvatore in her office. You all are dismissed."
Hiding in the back, the young Salvatore girl tried hurrying out of the common area to avoid confrontation. That was until a flash of blonde hair sped in front of her. When Valencia saw who it was she huffed in frustration.
"Hi, Cia."
"Aunt Caroline...funny running into you. I was just about to head towards your office to sign up to volunteer."

Caroline wasn't having it.
"Really? That's funny because my office is in this direction. Here, why don't I show you the way."
Valencia didn't really have a choice seeing as Caroline's grip on her arm was fueled with determination.
Once they entered the office, Caroline started with the words, "Valencia, come and sit down".
Knowing how Valencia was, it wasn't a surprise that Valencia started off with the question, "What can I do for you, Aunt Care? Oh and by the way, I'm loving your hair"
Usually, Caroline would be distracted by compliments such as the one that Valencia gave her but Caroline was prepared for dealing with the young Salvatore girl after years of practice.
"Cut the crap, Cia."
Valencia said nothing and chuckled while doing the Salvatore eye that she picked up from Damon.
"Want to give me a hint as to why I'm here, Aunt Care? I'm on a bit of a time crunch"
"Sure, how about a majority of our werewolf pack were injured and beaten senseless in the woods, a student left the campus without getting clearance, one of our safes were broken into last night...let me see, what else—"
