To say that Rebekah was stunned would be an understatement. Her mind had immediately gone into overdrive with a multitude of thoughts and memories of her deceased family flooding her mind.

Valencia sat across from her with a smug look that practically taunted the Original.

This was shown to be a mistake.

Being tricked one too many times, Rebekah vamp sped the two out of the bar and into an alley with more privacy. This was only so she could hold the young Salvatore girl in a one-handed chokehold against the wall.

With a glassy look in her eye, the Mikaelson Original said, "Are you toying with me?"

When she got no response, her grip tightened as she yelled, "Answer me!"

Any normal person under Rebekah's threatening grip would plead for mercy...but this was Valencia Salvatore. She had her own tricks up her sleeve.

Valencia put her hand on Rebekah's and siphoned the magic from her causing a searing shot of pain to go through the original.

This was unlike any pain that Rebekah had felt. It was weakening and sharp.

When Rebekah was weak enough, Valencia used the siphoned magic to perform a restraining spell that held Rebekah in place against the same wall, trading places with Cia.

Proud of herself for regaining control, Valencia released a taunting chuckle and said, "Rebekah, if I wanted to manipulate you you wouldn't even have a clue. Now, why don't we calm down unless you'd want something bad to happen to your dear old niece. What's her name, again? Oh right...Hope."

Hearing Valencia's threat, Rebekah's maternal instincts kicked into high gear.
"Don't you dare touch her," Rebekah uttered out with protectiveness.

Valencia knew all too well who Hope was. In fact, the tribrid had been breaking down the wall that Valencia had put around her heart, day by day. The Salvatore girl had to put up this facade in order to provoke the responses she wanted from the Original.

"Now, Bex, trust me. I don't want to. However, if you even attempt to attack or threaten me the way you just did, Hope will be the least of your worries."

With that said, Valencia undid her spell and released Rebekah who unexpectedly had a look of respect.

After regaining her composure, the Original uttered, "Clearly Damon's influence on you was larger than your mother's."

Deciding not to comment on the observation, Valencia said, "Look, Rebekah. I came here looking for truthful answers. Are you willing to give those to me?"

Rebekah's face was laced with a deep look of hesitation. She put her fears aside for the sake of her family and finally caved in.

"What do you want to know?"

The two had a lengthy conversation. It was filled with firsthand backstories, honest reason why they should or should not be brought back, and tales of the past that Rebekah seemed to get lost in.

All seemed to be going well until Valencia caught a glimpse of Hope walking into the bar.

She couldn't blow her cover so she brought out her bitchy side. Valencia knew exactly what she needed to do to provoke Rebekah.

Cia said, "Those are great stories, Rebekah...truly. But maybe they're better off dead."

Rebekah's head snapped up in anger.

"What did you just say?"

Valencia only smirked, hating herself, as she said, "I'm just saying...some people are like clouds. When they disappear, it's a brighter day."
