Saritha let out a gasp as she woke up with a jolt. Her eyes widened as her heartbeat increased.

Siren sounds were buzzing around while her heart beat quickened as she jumped out of the stool, her hands on her chest.

A black small sized silhouette slicked away.

Saritha swallowed her saliva as she murmured Muruga and walked towards the corridor. Her ball pen was held like a knife as she let out a squeak before turning to the corridor.

" Ada naaya...che bayantuten," Saritha said loudly as she saw the black mongrel.

Saritha swallowed her saliva when the dog trotted towards her and barked causing her to move away slightly. The dog decided to follow her as he trot behind her leisurely.

Saritha exhaled her breath as she walked towards the glass window. The dog and woman looked out of the window.

The night was dark and dull with no stars shining. The entire sky was swallowed by a thick smoke. Saritha was barely able to see beyond the fog. She exhaled her breath and turned her heels.

" Yenathan nadakuthu nu teriyele," Saritha said while the dog barked causing her to chuckle.

She walked towards her laptop bag and took out a packet of biscuits. Saritha eyed the dog before throwing a biscuit on the floor. The dog quickly swiped its long tongue and gobbled the biscuit before looking back at Saritha. Saritha shook her head with a small smile and threw another two biscuit before eating the last one. She then opened her bottle and gulped the water before pouring it slightly on the floor.

Saritha squat down and hesistant hovered her hand on top of the dog who was licking the water. The dog let out a small growl when her hand touch its fur. Saritha chuckled softly when it resumed to drink the water while she pet behind his ears and stood up.

" Rightu, time for me to try my luck again," Saritha told herself and walked towards the lift. She blinked and raised her eyebrows when the dog trotted inside the lift and stood next to her.

" Yeneke yedam irruka nu teriyele ithule née vere variya pangu kekarutuku ?" Saritha asked the dog who barked and stood on his four legs causing Saritha to shake her head in amusement.

When they reached the floor, Saritha walked once again to the house and pressed the calling bell. She pressed her lips together as she glanced at her watch occasionally.

" Yennada 20 minutes achu...seri innoru theravada adipom," Saritha said and pressed the bell once again.

Saritha furrowed her eyebrows as the dog suddenly barked. She looked at the dog who was in an alert mood. Saritha furrowed her eyebrows and was about to walk to the end of the corridor when the alarm sound rang.

" Oh shit! Fire alarm! Deyh vara namma ponum," Saritha said to the dog and walked to the lift when the dog barked and ran towards the end of the corridor. Saritha blinked when the dog barked as it waited for her at the end of the corridor.

" Muruga yeneke mattum design design  ah sothikure! "  Saritha groaned and ran towards the dog.

The dog began running down the stairs with Saritha hurrying behind it. Saritha panted as she stood at the staircase.

" Yenada ithu rendu maadi yeranganathuke moochu vangutu ithule-" She began when the dog barked again.

" Ada irru naaye vanthu tholaiyuren!" Saritha shouted back as she took deep breath.

The dog barked again causing Saritha to groan and turned her head. She gave the dog a tired look as she let out deep breath, her back bended forward holding her knees.

" Thinu thinu ippelam mooche vide mudiye...Ada irru! Ippo yethuku née inthe floor ke kutitu vara!" Saritha nagged and walked towards the door. She opened the door and the dog once again ran inside.

"Marupadiyum mothele iruntha," Saritha groaned and rushed behind the dog, chasing its heels.

Saritha's eyes widened as she stood a few feet away. Her mouth parted open in shock while her heart rate escalated.

Anirudh rubbed his head, groaning slightly as he tossed and turned on the couch.

He let out a groan when he tumbled into the floor from the couch. Thank god for the thick Egyptian carpet, if not sir mandaile kattu ode thaan aprom veliya poganum.

" Yenna smell ithu," Anirudh muttered as he wrinkled his nose.

A pungent and musty smelled combined with smoke infiltrated his nose.

Anirudh rubbed his eyes and walked towards the balcony. He closed the sliding door as he saw the smokey sky outside. The fog was extremely thick and he could only make out some lights from a distance.

Anirudh let out a yawn and walked into the kitchen, scratching his bum as his steps coordinated towards the fridge. He took out a bottle of ice water and drank a sip.

" Athukulaya paal karan vantutan ?"Anirudh thought to himself when he heard the calling bell.

He stretched his hands above his head and placed the bottle on the table. Anirudh let out another yawn as he walked lazily towards the door. He glanced at the camera panel which will show the face of his guest.

" Athukule vechitu poitanugala...semme efficient le," Anirudh said with a smile and opened his door.

He bend his head down and gasped as he stumbled back, his leg hitting his shoe cabinet and the man fell down.

His eyes bulged out, redden with the effect of alcohol and shock while his milky face turned ashen. His mouth parted open as he eyed the basket.

Anirudh's breath quickened as he got on his knees. He crawled slightly towards the basket, looking stunned at the basket. He hovered his hands on the basket, carrying the peanut up.

Anirudh gasped when the peanut opened its eyes and mouth with saliva dribbling down its chin. The man hastily put the baby down and was about to close the door.

Anirudh let out a scared shouted when a black hairy body with four legs stood infront of the door and barked at him.

His eyes widened seeing the dog, the baby in the basket.

" F**k!" Anirudh said as he turned around and saw a woman standing a few feet away from his house, looking at the whole situation.
