As Oliver drove down the highway he began to hum again this time a different tune. Alicia didn't know the sing though, so she sat and waited. Then she couldn't wait another minute. "Where are we going?" Alicia asked.
"Just a little further." Oliver said this as he turned down a gravel road. At the end of the road Oliver announced the they were at their destination. "What are we doing?" said Alicia.
Oliver appeared with a blanket in one hand and said "Watching."
He spread out the blanket out on the damp grass and in one quick movement, motioned for her to come and rest. Alicia slipped off her shoes and sat on the blanket. She laid down and starred up at the stars. "Beautiful." she said aloud.
"Not as beautiful as you." Oliver said this with such ease. He turned his head to look at her and she looked back at him. A smile forming on Alicia's face. She thought to herself " This is so perfect."
As soon as she said this Oliver leaned over to her and brushed a piece of hair out of her face. He held his hand on her cheek and pulled her into a kiss.
A kiss so brilliant that it took Alicia by surprise. Oliver pulled away saying "Sorry, I....I didn't mean...." Alicia opened her eyes at him saying this.
"Don't be sorry." after she said this Alicia pulled him into another kiss. She kissed him with warm, soft lips. Oliver's phone rang in the middle of their moment. He answered and found out it was his friend Joseph.
"Hey"
"Hey, buddy! Where are you the party is pumpin'!" Joseph said this so loud Alicia could hear him and tube blaring music in the background.
"Im on a date." said Oliver.
"With?"
"Alicia Penticost, the cute flute player from band."
"Ohhhh, why didn't you invite her to the party?"
"I had other plans and she has to be home soon."
"Okay, well you should hit up this place when shes gone."
"Okay."
"Later, bro!"
Oliver just hung up. He checked the time and it read 10:17.
"I better get you home." Oliver let out a breath as he said this.
"Okay." Alicia was actually really disappointed to leave. She kissed him again. Then they got up, folded the blanket, and got back in the pickup. Oliver started up the truck and pulled out of the area.
Once back at Alicia's house, Oliver escorted her to the front door. Alicia's dad welcomed them at the door and thanked Oliver. Alicia kissed Oliver's cheek, waved goodbye, and closed the door. Oliver got back in his pickup and drove off. As driving away Oliver thought "Best night ever, with the most amazing girl."
Back at Alicia's house, Alicia thought "Most amazing night with the perfect boy."
She fell asleep and couldn't wait to see Oliver again. Monday. Monday she'd see him again.
